23.01.2022 Hands up who is considering taking advantage of the current border closure and letting their home for short stay accommodation for the up coming tourist season? Sounds like easy money right? Like all things letting your home, apartment or a room carries it own risks and number of factors need to be considered;... would you manage the property privately or through a leasing agent? would you be leasing through a single platform like Air BnB or through multiple platforms? would the maintenance and cleaning be contracted to professionals? do you have a screening process to filter tenants before letting? have you updated your insurance on the property to cover against Property Damage and Financial Losses? There are insurers on the market that prefer not to cover short stay risks The last thing you would want is to make a claim for tenant damage (think ‘house party’ ) only to find your insurer has declined because; A) they weren’t aware of the change of occupancy or B)short stay accommodation is excluded from the policy all together Do you have a short stay property or looking at letting your property? Let us a review your policy and ensure you are well and truely covered Drop us DM or send an email to [email protected] #insurancebroker #corewestib #smallbusinesswa #perthgirlboss #southwestbusiness #southwestinsurance #businessinsurance #businessinheels #swlocalbusiness #commercialinsurance #wasmallbusiness #womeninbusiness #smallbusinessperth #shortstaywa #holidaywa #southwestisbest #airbnbinsurance #holidayhomeinsurance

21.01.2022 What's worse than your computer crashing? Someone ELSE crashing your computer!! The Australian Cyber Security Centre warns some Australians are receiving phone calls from scammers purporting to be ACSC employees and claiming the receiving person’s computer has been compromised ... These malicious callers are known as ‘remote access scammers’ and they request individuals to download ‘TeamViewer’ or ‘AnyDesk’ onto their device to help resolve the malware issue. The scammer then attempts to persuade recipients to take actions, such as enter a URL into a browser and access online banking service, which then compromises their computer to reveal banking information, enabling them access to transfer funds. Some recipients of these calls have reported to the ACSC that the scammers may have spoofed legitimate caller ID numbers, to make their unsolicited calls appear more authentic. Keep your eyes peeled people and remember NEVER provide your personal and financial details or give a stranger remote access to your device or computer simply hang up and report to https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/ #insurancebroker #corewestib #smallbusinesswa #perthgirlboss #southwestbusiness #southwestinsurance #businessinsurance #businessinheels #swlocalbusiness #commercialinsurance #wasmallbusiness #womeninbusiness #smallbusinessperth #scamwatch #australiancybersecuritiescentre #toosmartforscammers

21.01.2022 Waiting on hold be like... Who loves an ‘on hold’ boogie? A brokers role includes lodging & managing claims and negotiating policy terms and rates with underwriters. 19.01.2022 Common made mistakes when it comes taking out Business Insurance 1. Not having insurance at all. Biggest misconception is that insurance is too expensive.... 2. You don’t quite understand the policy wording. Knowing your policy is important when it comes the listed exclusions and endorsements 3. You haven’t reviewed your policy in a while. We recommend 6 monthly reviews of your policies (if not more). Your needs to keep up with your evolving business if you are to be covered adequately 4. Not considered at least different providers. While the price might be nice policy wording can read different between insurers. Obtaining multiple quotes and comparing the benefits vs the price is crucial. Or phone your broker 5. Taking the cheapest policy you find. Cheapest isn’t always best. What is excluded from off the shelf policies more often than not renders the policy useless. Take the time to read your policy. Many of us are poor, needing to ease cash flow and worry about not having sufficient cover on our hard earned assets should the worst happen. A broker can save you time and . Ensuring your business, family and valuables are cared for Did you know at @core_west_insurance_brokers we offer free policy reviews? DM or email us today for your free review

06.01.2022 I get it, keeping expenses down is a necessity when it comes to keeping your business sustainable Insurance policies can be VERY complex, and when it comes covering your business (like my mum used to to say ) cheap and cheerful is not always best... Sometimes what is left out of a policy is just as important as what is included, and the cheapest option may leave out a risk that you cannot afford to carry yourself.... Although policy cost will always be a factor, making sure you have the right cover in place when it comes time to make a claim is vital, and our top priority If you’re not sure what is included in your current policy we offer a FREE review service. Lets chat! #InsuranceBroker #corewestib #smallbusinesswa #perthgirlboss #southwestbusiness #southwestinsurance #businessinsurance #businessinheels #swlocalbusiness #commercialinsurance #wasmallbusiness #womeninbusiness #smallbusinessperth
