19.01.2022 I am so thrilled to introduce Joanna who will be Coreworx Studios first team member Joanna will be bringing you her amazing Mat Pilates classes on Wednesday mornings and Barre on Saturday morning. Leaving you feeling fabulous all week long! Joanna found her passion for mat-based Pilates after having her two children and suffering from a number of postural and core issues due to hypermobility and joint issues. Pilates became a lifeline in her journey back to mobility ...and strength and she wants to share this with as many people as possible. Through Pilates Joanna finds that you are able to listen to what your body is telling you and respond to it correctly and by doing so youll see great results no matter what your reasons are for coming along to a Pilates class. As well as being qualified in Mat Pilates, Joanna has specialised in pre and post-natal Pilates and also teaches Barre. 16.01.2022 Here we are 2021! Wishing all my wonderful family, friends and clients a wonderful New Year. It’s been a tough one for all of us but we made it through and regardless of the unknown ahead we sure know what matters most...... Family or who you consider family are my ultimate. Connection with people and nature. Health, without it who will we be? Not an option I really want to consider.. Friends, the ones that pick us up when things turn to shit.. that support with no judgement. Time, it really does have a wonderful way of showing us what really matters. Wishing everyone nothing but love and happiness in 2021 and beyond.
16.01.2022 Sending love a brightness to all those that had to close their doors last night, sending strength to those that are struggling to stay afloat mentally and financially. To the awesome legends on the front line working so hard to keep us safe THANK YOU! And to my beautiful clients this is to say I miss you! I miss my studio, I miss the connection, we have only been able to open for 2 weeks since this whole thing began back in March. It hasnt been 6 weeks its been months but lets just keep chasing the light where we can open again and bring laughter and happiness and appreciation for what we have.
15.01.2022 This is a photo of me during and after the birth of my first son almost 9 years ago. I wanted to share this picture with you as I reflect back and see just how beautiful these images are, I love everything about it. I loved being pregnant I loved birth, (crazy I know) but I really didnt appreciate what my body did back then. This was before I was diagnosed with ankolysing spondyloarthritis which debilitated me after the birth of my second son. My body no longer functioned... the way it use to. I couldnt even bend down to change my babies nappies having to crawl to a chair just to help me get back up, sleepless nights in pain on top of a newborn. I still had to do it but it wore me down physically and emotionally. I cried internally almost every morning as I had to warm up my body to get out of bed. After years of chronic pain I finally found something that helped me get on top of the pain and I began to move again. Its never gone away but I can now manage it well with medication diet and exercise as I need to and adjust all three accordingly. After the birth of my third son I think I really started to appreciate what my body had accomplished. Yeah sure I have loose skin on my tummy, cellulite all over my thighs, my kids think I have a wobbly butt and play the drums on it but hey I like to think its muscle Im the heaviest Ive ever been in my life BUT at the age of 41 I feel like a woman. I have shape I have curves and while none of them are perfect by any means, I feel great. Loving your body is always work in progress for most women I think. Just try to remember while we all love a great photo they are so easily changed/edited with a nice angle or a nice filter (which is absolutely fine and nothing wrong with that) but when you look in the mirror alone and see the real you, you need to love what you see back regardless of your size shape or the stupid number on the scales. Work on that everyday. Tell yourself something that you love about yourself EVERY SINGLE DAY. Im a woman, a real woman who has all the imperfections who at the age of 41 has never been prouder of my body and what it has achieved. Have a beautiful weekend ladies a

14.01.2022 Hello ladies, It was so lovely to see you in class this week. Thank you for letting my guide you through your session and those of you that were able to stay, ...stretch and body scan bliss out- I hope you enjoyed! Some of the information I discussed in terms of ‘Earthing’- barefoot walking or simply connecting our skin to the ground, and our sense of smell (using the Nunchi essential oils) is as below. Benefits of earthing include; Reduce inflammation and pain associated with arthritis, chronic pain, sports injuries etc Increased energy Improved mood, wellbeing and reduces anxiety and stress (physical and psychological) Improved immune function and NK (Natural Killer) cell production and activity Increased hours of sleep up to 40% and importantly the quality of sleep In terms of our sense of Smell, I suggested that this was one of the most primal of our senses. It is interconnected with all our bodily systems and can yield positive effects over body and mind. Phytoncides are the natural oils within the plants that act as the trees defence system from bacteria, fungus and insect infestation. They are released when disturbed by wind, warmth or animals. 11.01.2022 This morning was a little confronting seeing everyone walking the streets with masks on. Obviously I knew it was coming and will be wearing my mask too but it was very strange seeing it in your home town and all around. Hard times are here for so many of us, whatever you are going through its your right to feel but know we will get through it one day and one step at a time. Sadly I lost a friend earlier this month to suicide, total devastation I couldnt even go to his fun...eral. It plays on my mind a lot and I watch people struggling all around me and sometimes I struggle myself, more than I may let on BUT Im so incredibly lucky and thankful to have people to talk to and vent and get it off my chest and it feels a little better, a little lighter.. SO.... talk to someone, anyone, share some thoughts and worries as they say a worry shared is a worry halved.. Love Brigee

Helping protect your cells from damage with anti inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial effects. ... Why wouldnt we want that right now.. 5 almonds 3/4 cup raw cauliflower florets 1 red apple 1 frozen banana 2 heaped tablespoons of plain chobani yoghurt 1 cup almond milk 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon A sprinkle of stevia for a little added sweetness (optional) Blend almonds until they resemble a fine powder. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Sprinkle with some extra cinnamon. Enjoy

I had some left over sashimi grade salmon in the fridge from last nights dinner that had been marinading in soy and mirin and some cold soba noodles from Mondays stirfry. Tossed together with some avo, spring onion cucumber and coriander. Sprinkle with some fresh chilli and black sesame seeds. 01.01.2022 Reflection... Day 3 in Iso for the 2nd time, business is closed again, homeschooling hanging over us so I look back and reflect on how I made it through the first lockdown. For me personally it was a learning curve, homeschooling was so hard we had great days, good days and some really challenging days. I cant say Im excited to do it all again but we will do what we have to and we will be ok. Though this time with a much more relaxed approach, I hope. ... What got me through the days (or 14 weeks to be exact) was exercise, well to be honest it gets me through everyday regardless. It puts me in a better head space, I have an opportunity to set my mind free thinking about nothing in particular just zoning out and having some me time. I sleep better, I move better, my arthritis feels better and Im happier. Its a way of life for me and I understand its not like that for everyone but if you try to move your body in some way everyday I guarantee you will feel better for it. What are you going to do differently this time around?
