18.01.2022 IMMEDIATE CHANGES TO MENS SECOND AND THIRD DIVISIONS This letter is to inform and explain to you changes weve made, effective immediately, to mens second div...ision and third division in the south (Coffs, Bellingen and Nambucca Shires). The headline is that were moving two teams from second division south to third division south, creating a four-team competition in the seconds and an eight-team competition in the thirds. The two teams moving from second to third are Macksville and Northern Storm. In June, NCF proposed to clubs that we run two six-team divisions. The seedings (as to who was in second and third divisions) were based on performance last year and ensuring a club didnt have more than one team in a grade. All teams in the second division have now played each other once, and a vast gulf has emerged between the fourth-placed team and the fifth and six placed teams. Macksville repeated an earlier request for a regrading. Northern Storm also asked for regrading. Given the results and other aspects, most importantly, satisfaction with playing football and ensuring everyone plays each week, we today agreed to make changes to second and third divisions: * Macksville and Northern Storm are moved from second division to third division. * Second division south is now a four-team competition (Woolgoolga, Nambucca, Orara Valley and Bellingen) * Third division south is now an eight-team competition (Corindi Red Rock, Nambucca, Bellingen, Coffs United, Woolgoolga, Boambee, Northern Storm and Macksville). * In second division, results against Northern Storm and Macksville stand. * The regular season will continue until Saturday 26 September 2020 with two weeks of finals (semi and grand) after the October long weekend. The reason were moving two teams rather than just one is to avoid byes, ensuring all teams play football every week. As for the draw, NCF is working on revised draws for the remainder of the season based on the new arrangements. These changes havent been made lightly, and we appreciate that this may interfere with some schedules and arrangements you have made. If we have caused inconvenience, I apologise. We believe, however, that with these changes, more people will enjoy playing more football more often. Thank you again for your support of football. 17.01.2022 With the situation in Victoria and in parts of Sydney, the NSW Government is tightening restrictions on community gatherings in all aspects of life, including s...port. There are two aspects to the tougher restrictions, which start today, that impact us: * If you have been in Victoria or the COVID-19 hotspots in Sydney do NOT attend football matches or training as a player or parents/guardian. * Where possible, only one parent should accompany a child to a match/training and only essential participants should attend senior matches. If you have caring responsibilities, it is OK to take additional children to matches or your child/ren where you are a parent/carer who is playing. As always, * If you are showing flu-like symptoms, do not attend matches or training. * You must maintain social distancing by keeping 1.5 metres away from other people at all times. * REMEMBER! No handshakes; no high-fives; no hugging; no fist-bumps; no elbow-bumps; no chest-bumps and no huddles. Contact in the course of play (tackles, challenges and so on) is ok but unnecessary contact is not ok. These are the rules that we play by. Thanks for your assistance. Were all in this together.

12.01.2022 STATEMENT The New South Wales Government tonight has advised all sports organisations of some significant new requirements to assist with the overall public hea...lth response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The requirements have significant ramifications for our various community football and player development programs and competitions. We are working through these implications with our colleagues at Northern NSW Football. Football can and will continue but there will be changes in some but not all competitions. We will have more to say about the implications of the governments new requirements tomorrow, Tuesday, 18 August 2020. ENDS

07.01.2022 Womens third division south report Well, that escalated quickly! PARK footy - never was meant to be perfect, but is supposed to be fun.... And now it is, according to Donna Smith, coach of Corindi Red Rock Breakers FC in the newly formed womens third division south competition. Corinda were running "second or third last" in a consolidated nine-team comp before the divisions were split. From a fresh slate and one game into the new tier, the Breakers find themselves on top of the table after beating Urunga Vikings 3-zip. Donna conceded life in the combined competition was harsh. "I never had my full team, with people being at work, being away, and a couple of injuries. I was mixing and matching with the Over 30s," she said. Yet Donna, who started coaching in 2003 and has led the senior girls for the past three years, never lost vision or passion. "Weve always had a good spirit. Were not Premier League, were not being paid, were just here to have fun," she said. Donna said a lifetime playing sport at the highest level, and refereeing, had ingrained valuable lessons of how grassroots football should look. "Particularly for girls and womens sport - were here to encourage, not discourage," she said.

Consider taking... a camping chair with you and watch the game in comfort. Or place an item on the ground in front of you to remind you of your distance from others. Enjoy the weekend! . . .
