23.01.2022 Hey everyone. I am going to cancel training tonight. With all the issue going on we're going to see what the outcome of this ffv meeting is and we will make a plan once we have some better information to go on. We all hope to get a season going but have to be realistic as we're technically supposed to be still non contact training till the end of the month and even then no 1 knows if it will stay in place or not. So keep posted and let everyone know that there is NO training on tonight. We will also still hope to have some social gatherings once were able to, so we can keep together as a group and help support the club to keep its doors open. Cheers Daniel

23.01.2022 We are pleased to announce we will be receiving a council grant to upgrade our ground lighting. This will be a large improvement on our current lighting system and will be a huge benefit for the club, with the hopes of being able to play night games when competitions recommence. The club as a whole would like to say a massive thank you to John Eren, Kylie Grzybek, our volunteers working behind the scenes and everyone else involved in helping us to secure the grant for this upgrade. #gocobras.

Latest statement from Football Victoria: https://ftbl.vc/33n4CGA In addition, we ask all CORIO BAY SPORTS CLUB players, parents and associates to adhere to the following: Club members 1. Members who have cold or flu symptoms (any of fever, runny nose, cough, stomach upset, muscle aches/pains) - please DO NOT attend. Contact us if you are unwell and can’t attend. 2. Members who have undergoing COVID19 testing; a. If you test positive to COVID 19 - please contact us by email immediately on [email protected] - do not attend training or games until your symptoms have completely resolved. Confidentiality regarding any information will be maintained. b. If any of your immediate family have had contact with a person with COVID 19 - please do not attend training or games for 14 days from the last contact. If symptoms become present, please contact your general practitioner or attend a Fever Clinic. c. If you have returned from overseas, please do not attend training or games for 14 days from return. Hand sanitizer will be provided by the club. Change rooms can not be used (except for going to the toilet).... So you will have to arrive ready to train. With the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the current health situation the Club has decided to suspend all training and friendly games until further notice whilst we monitor the situation.... As a Club, the primary concern is the safety of players, coaches, families and volunteers. We encourage you to ensure that discussions around this matter remain based on facts and we are providing consistent messaging form our members to help them navigate these challenging times. Please be reassured that, at this time, we have had no diagnosed cases of the virus at the Club. As a Club we will be meeting regularly during this period. We’ll provide an update on March 23 and will provide further advice once things become clearer. How long will the season be Unfortunately we are not in a position to answer these as we have supplied you with all the information we have to date. The 1st team is playing at Lara lead by Greg Pont and Anthony Sennet And the 2nd are playing at home lead by Jason Heywood and Tyler Frizwell Both games start at 1pm. 01.01.2022 UPDATE FROM FV CEO Dear Clubs, Yesterday, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced the next phase of the easing of the COVID-19 restrictions.... Football Victoria (FV) is very pleased to note that this included return dates for competitive sport as follows: 22 June: 18 years and under full contact training and competitions 13 July: Adult contact training 20 July: Adult contact competitions From 22 June, clubs can also access changerooms and showers. Club rooms can open for up to 20 people per indoor space. Gatherings will also be permitted but must abide by gathering restrictions spectators must not be in groups of greater than 20 and must adhere to social distancing requirements around the ground and venue. FV will provide further guidance in the coming days on season dates for all competitions and will update and circulate the Return To Training Conditions.
