21.01.2022 Some more exciting news out of the club tonight with the signing of Brayden Cotter! Having previously played with North Geelong and most recently Anakie, the club is really excited for him to call Corio home! A running half back that will bring X factor with over 100 senior games of experience and at 26 years of age, he’s going to slot into our young senior group perfectly! ... 19.01.2022 As President of the Corio Community Sports Club I am excited to announce that our Senior Coaches Darren & Joel Bennett have re-signed for the 2021 Season. The knowledge and experience they both will bring to our playing group is exceptional. The numbers they had at Pre-Season this year is something we haven’t seen at the club in over 10yrs. The dedication of this years playing group would’ve been one to reckon with and we were so excited for this years season. ... Unfortunately due to COVID 19 this wasn’t possible so we hope that everyone sticks together in 2021 to show other clubs we are back. Darren & Joel are extremely passionate about their home club and they are very excited to continue to lead the players in the right direction to rebuild and be a force to reckon with. 08.01.2022 To northern suburbs members and supporters, Even though there may be no football or netball this year due to COVID19, we would like to announce that the Council has voted in favour of supplying 2 new netball courts and a new cricket practice net facility for the Corio Community Sports Club. We would like to personally thank Cr. Anthony Aitken and Cr. Kylie Grzybek for securing the planning funding to get this project drawn up and started and for getting our project in this ...years’ budget. The Corio Community Sports Club would also like to thank the council collectively for voting in favour of this vital community project. We hope to have this project started this year and we feel as a club this will be of significant benefit to the northern suburbs and the development of sport in the area. 04.01.2022 History was made today with Chris and Trey Laurie becoming the first Father/Son combination to play Senior Football and First XI cricket together at the club, h...elping us get the season off to a great start with a 52 run victory over Thomson. Trey made 18 on debut and bowled very tidy with 1 for 33 off his 10 overs. Chris was instrumental behind the stumps with some crucial catches and stumpings. Dylan Shelley and Joel Bennetts opening stand of 126 set the game up. Dylan hitting a quick fire 85 off 67 balls and Joel contributing 60 to get us to a total of 8/237. Mukhtar Hussain was the pick of the bowlers taking 4 for 12 with the Tigers all out for 185 after some entertaining early hitting. Unfortunately our Second XI went down by 92 runs and will hopefully bounce back next week. See more

Jai has had surgery today and hopefully will be removed from his induced coma tonight or tomorrow. We are sending all our love and support to Rob, Blake, Jai and family during this difficult time.
