25.01.2022 Unfortunately we aren't able to serve everyone due to the rules and policies put in place in order for our Foodshare to operate. The most common reason we're unable to serve someone, is if they live outside of our service area. As much as we'd love to service the entirety of Geelong, without the donations and funds, it's just not always possible. 22.01.2022 Please note we can only provide you with a food parcel if you are ELIGIBLE. That means you need to live local to us (Corio, Norlane, Lovely Banks, BPH, Bell Park, North Geelong) AND... Have a Centrelink-issued card that STATES that you live in one of those suburbs. Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with a food parcel if you live outside the northern suburbs. There are many other charities and businesses that offer food parcels, vouchers, etc. that are able to serve more people and have more funds available to them.

16.01.2022 Foodshare FAQs - FEEL FREE TO ASK MORE QUESTIONS BELOW a) Who are you, and what do you do? We are a group of volunteers that aim to provide food parcels to those experiencing food insecurity in our local community. b) When are you open? ... We are open Tuesday-Friday, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., if we are closed for any reason during these times it will be advertised on this page. We are open school holidays, but closed public holidays. We also have a brief break around Christmas. c) Can I volunteer? At the moment we are at capacity with volunteers due to COVID-19, our Op Shop may be after volunteers, so if you are interested please call 5275 4597 d) Can I donate food? Yes! We are grateful for any food you can donate to us! This includes tinned goods after a pantry clean out, to fresh produce from your garden! e) Can I get a parcel? If you have a current Centrelink-issued card (Pension/Health Care, etc.) that states you live in Corio or surrounding suburbs. - Corio, Norlane, Lovely Banks, Bell Post Hill, Bell Park, North Geelong. f) What do I get if I get a parcel? Take a look in our 'videos' tab to see what we always try to include. Depending on the day and time of your visit, we may also have some extra bits and pieces, more fruit and veggies, eve some soft drink.

14.01.2022 Don't know where we are? But you're in need of a food parcel? It can be a little awkward to ask these things, so we thought we'd share... We're on Bacchus Marsh road, across from Corio Village (7/11 side). You'll see the church, the yellow Op Shop, and in the driveway of the Op Shop is our Foodshare.

But even if we don’t get deliveries or donations, we always try our hardest to include the bare basics to cover you in an emergency situation. 12.01.2022 This coming week: If you come for a Food Parcel on Monday or Tuesday we may not have many fruit, veggies and extras available. As our delivery of fruit and veggies will take place on Wednesday afternoon. IF YOU COME ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY:... We will probably have: potatoes, onions, carrots, bread, yoghurt, coffee (small sachets in a freezer bag), mushrooms and oranges. We will be less likely to have: bananas, strawberries and watermelon We do not currently have: nappies

08.01.2022 What is this picture missing? YOU! If you haven’t come to the Foodshare this month you’re probably eligible for a July Food Parcel. If you live in Corio/surrounding suburbs and have a Centrelink-issued card you could get a food parcel to help you through this tough time. Particularly with supermarket limited back in place!... 05.01.2022 It's been tough gathering donations and supplies to give out during this pandemic - but never fear, we still have the basics covered for you. To be eligible for a FAMILY parcel, dependents will need to be listed on your Centrelink card as proof. Otherwise, a single parcel will be given. If you are able to donate, we are always in need of cereals, pasta sauces and margarine. But we gratefully accept any donations from your garden of fresh produce.

05.01.2022 We're still here for you, even in lockdown. Providing food to you and your family is considered an essential service, and you'll find us still at our window Tues-Fri, 10am-3pm. Check our previous posts for locations and eligibility. ... We're struggling for donations right now, as expected. But we have your back for as long as we can.

03.01.2022 Many of you have asked how you can help us out during Coronavirus. The BEST way to help us out is my donating food - you can hand over your donation to us while we're open, or drop it into the church who'll give it to us. Alternatively, Derek our Foodshare coordinator, likes to collect small purple bears/beanie kids - which you might see sitting on the beams of our Foodshare ceiling. So if you have any small PURPLE bears - we'll gladly take them too.

03.01.2022 We’re stocked with frozen meals for this week, a mix of beef, pork and chicken meals, with a couple vegetarian options included. These meals were prepared and cooked using donated and rescued food, by chefs and volunteers for the FareShare kitchen, and kindly donated to us. We’re open Tuesday-Friday, 10-3. We will be closing mid December until mid January for our volunteers to celebrate Christmas and be rewarded for all their hard work with a brief holiday confirmed dates coming soon

02.01.2022 We got a donation of some bananas that have seen far better days So if you haven’t got your July parcel yet, come on round tomorrow or Friday and we’ll give you enough bananas for you to be baking banana cake until the end of Covid-19
