25.01.2022 Portrait day at the studio. This is a super low key IG account but we are going to put photos up on our website of actual faces soon. Thanks to photographer @jokalinowski_

24.01.2022 Congratulations to Patrick and Michelle . We made this cool suite of engagement rings for them. Her ring is a fitted wedder with sapphires and a bright, white diamond. His ring is a customised version of our Dune ring. Both rings are in unplated white gold.

23.01.2022 Brazilian emerald with a vivid colour set in textured platinum. Custom build for Heidi.

23.01.2022 Little Mountain Ring customised with texture and an amethyst.

22.01.2022 The Magnolia Ring in Morganite - I designed this ring thinking about a friend who is soft and feminine and totally obsessed by flowers and horticulture.

22.01.2022 The Orion Diamond Ring so bright even on the greyest of Melbourne winters day. Vintage vibes in Rose Gold, we are open to customisation.

20.01.2022 The glory of this ring lies in its beguiling mix of the masculine with the feminine - pretty, bright gemstones contrasting with the bold proportions of the piece (the ring is size T and the band is really solid). The centre stone is a superb teal Aussie Sapphire from Rubyvale and it is flanked by two big handsome pear cut white diamonds. This ring was designed for Nick to present to Dipesh on the occasion of their engagement. Congratulations to both of you! xxx Team Corky @ Corky Saint Clair

18.01.2022 Throwback Friday - The Seven Stones Ring for Maggie. You guys have been loving the CSC BTS lately so I thought Id show how we made this Aquamarine showstopper. Our more complicated pieces are first sketched and then taken into CAD, 3D rendered and then printed in wax. The wax is then cast to metal. You can see the amazing setting in photo five. All of the 3D printing lines have to be cleaned off, (the ring is printed line by line). Next task: the complex job of trying to set seven stones. In total five local craftspeople in The Century Building worked on this project. Hope you enjoyed this behind the scenes. xx

17.01.2022 We made matching (but different) Zircon rings for sister-in-laws Anna & Mina. These two are zircon obsessives and knew exactly what they wanted. This hexagonal design is the perfect showcase for these bright, beautiful gems.

17.01.2022 Three new Luminary Pendants at the shop - each one has been customised with a unique gemstone. In this series 1. Salt and Pepper Diamond 2. Ceylon Sapphire 3. Rose Cut Diamond

16.01.2022 hello! hope you are keeping warm on this winters day. I made this little guy a jacket of gold rings. The studio is open 10.30am to 3pm if you would like to visit. figure by @lollysnapskd

16.01.2022 Everyone wants teal but no one seems to agree what it is. This Australian sapphire that in my opinion is the archetype of the colour teal. We have set this gem from Central Queensland with two pear cut diamonds to build an engagement ring that looks serene and beautiful.

16.01.2022 Rough Brazilian Rings with a textured sterling silver band. The emeralds are from the San Terazinha mine which is famous for its beautiful deep green gemstones.

16.01.2022 We have a lot of discussions at the studio about what Teal is. Everyone wants teal but no one seems to agree what it is. We feel that teal is dark aqua - exemplified by this Aussie Sapphire. We set this sparkly sapphire from Central Queensland with two pear cut diamonds for a private commission.

15.01.2022 Dreamy memories of travelling. Sunset view, Victoria Peak, Hong Kong 2019

14.01.2022 Corky BTS - building a diamond ring

14.01.2022 Eclipse Studs with bright, blue rough sapphires. Love the blue gradient - it looks like cool graphic design, even though this stone is completely natural. @ Corky Saint Clair

13.01.2022 This bewitchingly original ring The Red Eclipse was designed for our favourites Cathy & Stuart to celebrate their engagement. The white gold band holds a black diamond and a bright, intensely coloured ruby. Congratulations, wishing you all best

12.01.2022 Agapanthus, Flagstaff Gardens.

11.01.2022 Aussies Sapphires from Southern Queensland. It looks like we took a slice of the sky and framed in matte yellow gold - so minimal, so fresh. Ill be listing these guys later today.

10.01.2022 ghost with sapphire eyes

09.01.2022 So much joy in this pear shaped Australian Zircon - the vivid pink is lit up by colour shifts within the stone - tawny pinks at the top and flashes of white at the base. The zircon looks completely different under natural and artificial light - moving from silvery pink to mauve.

09.01.2022 Lush looking ear rings with white gold, watermelon tourmaline and rose cut diamonds.

08.01.2022 Australian sapphire flanked by baguette diamonds. The salt and pepper diamonds dial down the bling, making this ring a low key wonder.

07.01.2022 Our Polaris Pendant is available with every birthstone. Each pendant is made to order and includes a beautiful Italian sterling silver curb chain. The photos in this post are 1. Sapphire (September) 2. Peridot (August) 3. Turquoise (December) 4. Aquamarine (March)

06.01.2022 Little Collins Street, Lockdown2, Stage 4.

06.01.2022 Our Polaris Birthstone rings are the perfect gift for your cool, low key friend or partner. The low profile ring is easy to wear and so pretty . pictured here are the birthstones for July (rubies), September (sapphires) and April (white diamond). We can make any months birthstone for you.

06.01.2022 Classic Corky Saint Clair pear cut drops featuring luxe Australian Sapphires. Choose either teal for ocean vibes or rich, deep royal blue.

05.01.2022 Enjoying my last afternoon of unrestricted movement - rode from the CBD to this pretty hill in Broadmeadows. Now I have to get home! We will keep working throughout Stage Four and keep you posted as to any changes to our work flow. Hope everyone stays well. Peace out - Team Corky

05.01.2022 These glowing oval Peridots are complimented by their 9ct plated gold settings. This is just one of our many designs that use bright Peridots as the gemstone. Peridots are the Birthstone for August. @ Corky Saint Clair

04.01.2022 Peridot for August. In the middle ages Peridot was thought to cure depression and open ones heart; we cant vouch for those claims but we love peridot for its bright, bold colour. In these photos we have set a pear cut peridot in both our classic and azolla settings.

04.01.2022 Vapour Ring - light, easy to stack, gold rings with richly coloured Australian sapphires. @ Corky Saint Clair

04.01.2022 We build each Tropic of Capricorn Ring with a unique Queensland sapphire. This one is a sultry parti sapphire with aqua, teal, ink blue and emerald green that evokes memories of swimming in the subtropical lushness of the Queensland coast line.

02.01.2022 These Argyle diamonds look as rich and warm as honey heated by the sun. Our hand carved heavily textured white gold hoops bring out the earthy sensuous of these sparkly Aussie Diamonds. This custom project was designed with love for Edward and Katie, who have been with us for the entire Corky Journey

01.01.2022 This minimal engagement ring creates maximal visual impact with a sea green Australian sapphire framed in a hexagon of white gold. Private commission.

01.01.2022 I was struck by the colours of this topaz as I packed this statement piece to send off to its owner who lives in Mount Beauty. I also love the contrast of the satin finish of the band with the pool like surface of the gem. This work shows that not all wedding rings have to be dainty gold bands - if big and bold is your thing, go with that feeling.

01.01.2022 To celebrate our 2000th Instagram post we have created a light show for you using our new ring Lake Saint Clair Two (this one has a scintillating salt and pepper diamond). Lockdown 2, Stage 4 has been brutal for the local jewellery industry - lots of interconnected tiny businesses in this ecosystem. There is a lot of fear and confusion as to what the actual restrictions are; work has been disrupted. My thinking is: we are here now, and it is bearable. In the years to come we will look back and think that we got through this together. See more
