25.01.2022 Good afternoon Cornerstone! Hope you are having a good week. This Sunday we are going to find ourselves in the book of Nehemiah. Pastor Rob has titled this sermon Strength in Joy we will quickly discover that this is a theme that is running throughout the entirety of scripture. We should all look forward to going through this study! ... The Cornerstone kids can again look forward to another zoom meeting. Warning to parents Lots of fun and biblical TRUTH their heading their way. Music and worship at the usual time. Its always the right time to say thank you to everyone who helps bring together our service every Sunday. From the music, to the children service, the sermons and everyone who joins us live, A BIG THANK YOU. It continues to be a difficult time for a lot of people, both in and out of the church. Therefore, it is so important that we stay connected and communicate as often as possible. Keep up with the messages, phones calls, zoom meetings and bible studies. We cannot stress enough, if you need any support of any kind, get in contact with Pastor Rob or any of the deacons. Dont forget about our WhatsApp prayer group. There is nothing too big or too small that we cant submit to God in prayer. Its such a blessing to come alongside each other as a church when there is a need or a praise. May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all always.

If you missed last weeks sermon it will remain on our Facebook page for the next few weeks. This Sunday Pastor Rob begins a new series of sermons that will focus on the five chapters of 1 John. The Sermon is titled Great Reminders. The outline has been added below, worship and the childrens service will be at all the usual ...times. The Cornerstone leadership team continue to keep a close eye the Lockdown/ COVID situation in metropolitan Melbourne. There is some indication that the restriction will begin to ease in the next few months, allowing us to recommence our live services. In the meantime, please begin to pray more than ever for your church and its members, that God would give us wisdom and grace as we begin to open in way that is safe and honours our King. May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all always.

14.01.2022 Good Morning Cornerstone Hope your having a good week Pastor Rob will continue his series on "encouragement" this Sunday starting with 2 Corinthians 5:1-5:... For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdenednot that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. WOW "who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee." This is an amazing encouragement and promise, and we know that it will be fulfilled for God cannot lie and always keeps his promises. Remember Prayer meeting will occur every second Wednesday from here on. No Change to Men and Womens bible study. We are also pleased to announce our newest members to the Cornerstone family, Vipal and Rhea following our AGM last Sunday. It was also great for Mick to give us an update on all our missionaries. Remember you can talk to any of the deacons or Pastor Rob about becoming a member. Looking forward to meeting with you again this Sunday (digitally of course ) May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all always.

10.01.2022 Good afternoon Cornerstone!!!!! It was wonderful to hear Pastor Don Winans last Sunday, bring us God’s word all the way from Arizona USA. It was a powerful message and an in depth look into Psalms 55. Remember you can view this and any of our other sermons on the Facebook page and website. This Sunday, Pastor Rob will continue his series from Johns first book, this time looking at the first 6 verses in chapter 4. The sermon is titled What is Truth?... 'Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error. '1 John 4:1-6 Children’s Church starts normal time at 10am, our worship service begins at 10:30am and the sermon 11am sharp. The outline has been added below.

08.01.2022 This Sunday, Pastor Rob will be focusing on the fourth chapter of 1 John, verses 7-21. If you are not familiar with this passage the author John, gives us a detailed look into what love is, hence the title What is Love?. As mentioned in previous posts, John was recognised as the apostle of love he clearly understood and was moved by the perfect love of God. This is honestly a sermon not to be missed, 1 John 4:7-21 is a passage of scripture you can read over and over again.... Meditate on this, before the sermon. Earlier this week Pastor Rob met with the Deacons to discuss a plan for reopening. There are still several factors being considered and arrangements being made, however it can be said, that we are very close to being able to worship together again, specific details will be announced shortly. In the meantime, please be in prayer for your Church its members and your Pastor, if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns regarding our reopening plan, please don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Rob or any of the Deacons. Have a wonderful weekend and looking forward to worshiping with you all this Sunday (digitally of course)

06.01.2022 What an encouraging passage of scripture from 2 Corinthians 5:6-10!!! So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due... for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. This Sunday Pastor Rob will continue to take us through his series on "encouragement", this will be something to look forward to. Outline below. Our Cornerstone Kids are taking over ZOOM this weekend details to come on the whats app. If your not part of the group email Pastor Rob or one of the deacons to be added. Our worship service will commence at normal time. On behalf of Cornerstone Baptist Church, we just want to say thank you for joining us every Sunday during this lock-down period and for being so faithful, thank you for your generous giving and thank you for being part of the bible studies and all our other digital activities. We understand how this time has been difficult for everybody, and how much we all miss each other. Remember the verses in Ecclesiastes for everything there is a season. This season will pass !! (Amen to that) In the meantime continue to pray for Cornerstone church and each other, commit this week to calling at least one person from our church family to say Gday. Dont forget any of the Deacons or Pastor Rob are available for a chat and any support you may need. You are all dearly missed and dearly loved. May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all always.
