25.01.2022 2019 CORNERSTONE STUD SERIES UPDATE With only one heat of the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club's Cornerstone Stud 'Sir Prancealot' Series of 2019 left to run, atten...tion is starting to turn to who will make the final and shoot for this amazing 1st Prize. Saturday 21st of December will see the 1200m Final for Metropolitan Prize Money and 2 x Free Services to the Cornerstone Stud Champion Sire Sir Prancealot. (1 for the Winning Owners, and 1 for the successful Trainer to utilise) This 6 Race Series has been such a positive for the local industry and we really look forward to the final heat at our next meeting on Wed Dec 4th, and then who will line up for the big prize. Updated Series Points attached.

25.01.2022 Cornerstone have slashed their service fees by 25% in response to COVID and to help stimulate the SA Breeding Industry. AMBIDEXTER - $4,400 SIR PRANCEALOT - $9,900 VALENTIA - $5,500

25.01.2022 Sir Prancealots first ever Southern Hemisphere colt to sell at auction & quite possibly his best too! Dont forgot than when Sir Prancealot covers a Danehill line mare (like this one), he produces a Stakes performer 25pc of the time!!!!

25.01.2022 Very proud of our neighbour and close Barossan friend. Well done Tony for continuing the SA heritage, as the birthplace for Australias very best trainers.

25.01.2022 May 1st, 2020 Something on the Table When the hammer comes down on a big priced yearling that you sold for a fraction of the price as a weanling, it feels like you have been subject to the ultimate personality test.... On the one hand you are telling yourself oh wow, isnt that great, I hope they buy off us again next year, perhaps that mare is better than I gave her credit for. All you are really doing is trying to supress that oh boy I just stuffed up feeling. There is a great deal of merit in leaving something on the table for the next guy. It is also human nature to wonder whether you got your timing wrong when you are watching someone tucking into your entrée! This happens to us regularly at Cornerstone Stud. In the last few weeks weanlings that we have sold through Magic Millions have gone onto make. Not a Single Doubt Celebrity Appeal colt: Coolmore sold for $650,000 at Easter after we sold him for $300,000. Flying Artie Exceleine colt: Two Bays sold for $160,000 at Premier after we sold him for $65,000. Deep Field Dijonnaise colt: Someone got Lucky and sold him for $240,000 at Premier after we sold him for $140,000. Headwater Miss Cooper: Richard Jolly purchased for $160,000 on the Gold Coast this year after we sold him for $50,000 (check out the sister.. Lot 10). Headwater Red Duchez: Made $420,000 at the R2R last year after we sold him for $38,000 (Red Duchez is for sale with a lovely Free Eagle foal at foot and in foal to Ambidexter.. check out lot 44) There are many, many more that we have erased from our mind or at least tried to. like the $160,000 Hussonet - Almah colt that went onto make HKD 10,500,000. We left before the appetizer was served that day!! So when you are perusing the weanlings for sale at www.magicmillions.online try not to picture a farm that gets it right every time, or even some of the time. Most of the time our personalities are being tested and we hope for your sake they will be again soon. If you are pin hooking these are the lots that we think are worth a look; Log into www.magicmillions.online to see for yourself.

25.01.2022 Just a heads up to our Facebook followers..... We are on cusp of something very exciting....... Stay tuned for further updates. #opportunityknocks

21.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE January 7, 2020 WORLD OF TROUBLE SHUTTLING TO AUSTRALIA World of Trouble, the fastest 3YO of his generation in North America by sire sensation Kantharos, will be shuttling to Australia in 2020 after recently retiring to stud at Hill n Dale Farms in Kentucky. ... In a deal brokered by de Burgh Equine, the multiple Group One winning turf sprinter will stand at Cornerstone Stud at a fee of $22,000 inc GST. Famous for his blistering sectionals and front running tactics World of Trouble captured both the Group One Carter Handicap and the Group One Jaipur Invitational Stakes on the Belmont Park turf in 2019. He retired with a record of nine wins, two seconds and a third from 13 starts, ending his career with five straight victories. In the sixty years our family have been standing stallions this will be the fastest horse to step foot on our farm. How many horses can run 1:06 flat over six furlongs, Cornerstone Studs Sam Hayes explained. World of Trouble won seven of his last eight starts, with his only defeat coming against older horses in the 2018 Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint where he finished second by a neck to the Champion US Sprinter of 2018. He ran 100+ Beyer Speed Figures in his last seven starts, which including an incredible 118 in the Turf Sprint, the highest 3-year-old Beyer figure of the year. Being a brilliantly fast outcross World of Trouble profiles perfectly for Australia and we are fortunate to be dealing with one of the most well-respected stud farms in Kentucky, Hayes added. World of Trouble is owned by Elevage Bloodstock which includes John Sikuras Hill n Dale Farms and Craig Bernicks Glen Hill Farm. "World of Trouble was uniquely talented as a Group One winner on both dirt and turf," said Hill 'n' Dale president John Sikura. "Speed is a universally successful attribute for stallions in both hemispheres and World of Trouble was blindingly fast. In order to ensure that World of Trouble is given fitting support Cornerstone Stud will be offering a select number of Southern Hemisphere Breeding Rights to Australian Breeders. RELEASE ENDS Please call Sam Pritchard-Gordon on 0430 309 428 or Sam Hayes on 0438 767 227 for further enquiries.

13.01.2022 Magic Millions partner with Cornerstone Stud to launch Online Sale. No one could have predicted the events of 2020, but when Cornerstone Stud and Magic Millions met last year to plan an on-farm reduction sale, the seed was sown for the launch of a new online selling platform. At 3pm on Thursday, April 30th bidding will open on Magic Millions inaugural online sale which features 70 lots of weanlings, yearlings and broodmares from Cornerstone Stud. There will also be a select... group of race and breeding propositions offered by Cornerstone clients. The way we all do business is changing and the bloodstock industry has shown a great deal of flexibility and resilience in the past month, Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch explained. We are delighted to be partnering with Cornerstone Stud to assist them with their on-farm dispersal. There is something on offer for everyone and we expect there will be some very good buying given the economic climate. Bowditch concluded. According to Cornerstone Stud principal Sam Hayes the timing of the sale has been a mixed blessing. The fact we were able to move the sale online was obviously essential but as for our timing, I am confident that our reputation for selling quality stock at affordable prices will only be enhanced after this week. We sell top quality weanlings every year as we only have space to prepare so many yearlings. We also have a lovely selection of mares that we are offering on behalf of Cornerstone Stud and our partners. The show must go on. Hayes explained. The sale closes on Tuesday, May 5th and buyers can register to bid by following the link; https://magicmillions.online/

13.01.2022 Well done!!! Another stakes winner by Zebedee and not surprisingly one raised and sold in South Australia by the team at Mill Park. Congratulations to Breeders David Wagner and Perry Gunner. Thanks for supporting us with your mare.
