09.01.2022 A lovely morning strolling through the Noosa National park alongside our many visitors , typical for this time of year! Last week I received such a positive res...ponse about our turtle nesting vs rock formations on granite bay so this week I thought Id let you know about our resident koalas in Noosa National Park, in particular one gorgeous male who insists on spending his summer chilling in the the Noosa National carpark trees! Allegro (pictured) is 9 years old is causing quite the scene as we all LOVE and get very excited about seeing a koala in its natural habitat. Allegro was a rescue koala (hit by a car), rehabilitated by Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital and re-released to Tea Tree Bay a few years ago. Not so fun fact: Did you know that if a koala smells the urine of a dog at the base of its food tree it will refuse to use that tree until the smell disappears? Our koalas are very easily stressed, especially by dogs. Stress leads to disease which leads to a serious decline in our koala population. Lets all diligently exercise responsible dog ownership and keep our pets right away from koala habitats starting with the entrance to the Noosa National Park. And if you spot Allegro (or any of his friends) remember he is an old dude that needs his peace and quiet to digest his leaves so try not to surround his tree, get too close, make too much noise, pat or pick him up. If we can teach people about Wildlife, they will be touched. Share my wildlife with me. Because humans want to save things they love. (Steve Irwin)

08.01.2022 New boardwalk looking great. Love the surfboard shower.

08.01.2022 Our dear Hilaire who was rescued and released by Koala Rescue Queensland last year in September has been seen several times since in his Noosa National Park old... territory. It included the Coastal Walk before Boiling Pot, the adjacent Emergency Track and Noosa Hill. On Friday afternoon 19/10/2918 we saw him in late Cuddles territory at Tea Tree Bay, resting and eating on the big twisted tree on the ocean side before the toilet block. This twisted tree was the scene of Koolah and Cuddles possible romance... Lots of happy onlookers including our now famous wave photographer, local Reg Norman. Stay safe Hilaire and see you soon...
