25.01.2022 Tomorrow afternoon we will be joining a zoom event and excitedly awaiting the results of the Cancer Council NSW 2020 Annual CEO Awards. We are honoured to be nominated in the volunteer team category for our Virtual Relay For Life held on Saturday 21st March. We are so proud of the event we were able to put on given the impacts of covid-19. It was a bit rough around the edges due to the timeframe we had to pull it off, but it was real and it was emotional. The Candlelight Cere...mony of Hope was the most touching and beautiful part of the day. So much love and support for families of those lost to cancer. 22.01.2022 Fundraising from Corowa Rutherglen Relay For Life goes towards the Cancer Council's Transport to Treatment program. There are several Corowa residents who use this complimentary service to get to their treatment in Albury.

19.01.2022 Our Virtual Relay For Life continues to receive some great feedback! Last week Julie Bartlett (Chairperson) and Christine Williams (Cancer Council) were invited to speak during a Relay For Life NSW Webinar on Online/Virtual Relays. Julie and Christine spoke about bringing Relay back to Corowa Rutherglen, how COVID-19 changed their event and their learnings from the first ever Virtual Relay For Life. ... Julie and Christine speak between 12:20 mins and 25:00 mins but its definitely worth watching the whole webinar as there are also great presentations from Sutherland and Hills Relay For Life who have also hosted virtual events. 13.01.2022 Six weeks ago today we held the Corowa Rutherglen Relay For Life. It wasn't how we had initially planned it, but we were praised for our innovation with a 'virtual' event; and even with the Covid-19 setbacks we are so excited to announce that we exceeded our fundraising target of $35k. Our final fundraising tally has come in at a whopping $39,888.62.... Thank you to everyone who contributed to this total.
