23.01.2022 Another big day on the golf calendar to raise money for a great cause this Wednesday

20.01.2022 Well done to the 9 Corrigin men who played in a field of 22 for 36 holes of stroke for the AVGA Championship today, with a few of those lads buttering up for 36 holes for the first time, it was an excellent effort by all in very trying conditions. It was a decent day by the Corrigin boys with Dan Philpott being the nett winner, with Ryan Szczecinski coming in runner up from a count back with Robin McLeary, and Mark Szczecinski winning the PM Round. With Corrigin team of Bra...den Grylls, Kaine Wright and Ryan Szczecinski winning the nett teams event also. Thanks to all the ladies that came and kept us all well fed and watered through out the day.

19.01.2022 Sunday afternoon was the Championship Semi Finals. Well done to the blokes that made the effort to qualify for our championships. Robyn and Daniel went toe to toe to see who would take on Braden for the B Grade Trophy, and it was Robyn who took out that match with a score on 4/3, Daniel must get a pat on the back for an excellent effort for his first Match Play hit out. The match between Alby White and Kaine Wright went all the way to the last hole with Kaine needing to sink... a difficult 15 footer to take the match to the 19th, unfortunately had the weight perfect, but being a tad high. leaving Alby having to sink a 4 foot knee knocker to seal the game. Well done to those guys for an excellent too and forth game. The other A Grade match was between Kim Courboules and Ryan Szczecinski, which was an excellent game from the get go, with Ryan chipping in on the first to get the early lead, quickly followed up with a narrowly missed eagle put by Kim, to get it back to all square on the second. With the lads all square at the turn with a pair of 38s the match was very close. But Kims class came through on the last 9 to take 13, 14 and 15, sealed the match with an Eagle on 16 to put Ryan out of his misery. So the Mens Championships will be decided on Sunday the 13th September, with the A Grade final between Kim Courboules and Alby White, and the B Grade Final being between Braden Grylls and Robyn Mcleary. But before then we have got the York Open weekend with the Wallace 18 holes 4BBB S/Ford on Saturday and the Craig Cup 27 holes S/Ford on the Sunday. If you are wanting to play in the Sunday event, please have your name to Ryan sooner rather than later. There is at least one car going on the Saturday event, if your keen to go let Ryan or Kim know ASAP. York have supported our club very well over the years, and its about time we sent something back. The week after that on Sunday the 6th of September is the AVGA Championships, 36 holes of stroke hosted by Corrigin. Don't be scared lads, have a crack. We all played 30 of the best for our open day, what's another 6. If your keen get in touch with Ryan, cause he will be in touch with you anyway. Happy Golfing

With the course being in magnificent condition, thanks to our green keeper Alby White, and all the lads that came on Friday afternoon for a quick busy be to tidy up a few branches that had come down the week before, every...thing looked smicko.
