25.01.2022 Some pics of our Fashion Show held yesterday, Saturday 29th February. A great day with a full house of ladies showing up to help us raise funds for the Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation. Again a very successful day only made possible by the combined efforts of all Corrimal Lions Club members & friends. Many thanks to St Albans for the use of their hall.

23.01.2022 Today members of Corrimal Lions had the pleasure of visiting Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre to present them with a cheque for $2000 to go towards food for those in need & the establishment of their vegetable garden which they hope will make them more self sufficient in providing fresh vegetables for local residents in need, Many thanks to the lovely Cath & ladies for their friendship & hospitality.

18.01.2022 Our ladies are selling Lions Christmas Cakes at Lederer shopping centre Corrimal, Friday 22/11/2019 from 9am onwards. Drop by, say hello to lions Margaret & Kathy & buy a fantastic lions cake or pudding or even both.

10.01.2022 Mads har fået en bold! Der var stor glæde da præsident for Lions Club Bannerslund Bjarne Sønderlev kunne donere en bold til Mads Lundholm. Mads der er 14 år, e...r født blind og bor i Skagen. Bolden havde Lions Club Bannerslund fået tilsendt fra Lions Club Thessaloniki Heraklea i Grækenland. Den græske klub er med i et projekt som hedder A Ball for All. Bolden er lavet specielt til blinde og afgiver en lyd når den er i bevægelse. Bolden kan ikke købes, men alene doneres via bl.a. Lions. Mads fik bolden overrakt i sit hjem. Tilstede var Mads’ forældre Pia og Lars, samt Mads’ storebror og lillebror. Bolden kom straks på gulvet og der blev sparket bold sammen med mor Pia. Mads var utrolig hurtig til at opfatte, hvor bolden var p.g.a. af dens lyd. Mads havde allerede bestemt, at han vil have bolden med i sin fritidsordning og senere på året, når han og forældrene skal mødes med andre blinde børn fra hele landet, så skal bolden også med. Forhistorien er den, at jeg, medio august sad og kiggede på Facebook, hvor jeg bl.a. følger Lions Club Thessaloniki Heraklea, som efter min opfattelse er en meget aktiv klub. Klubben havde et opslag, hvor de efterlyste Lions klubber i andre lande, til at melde sig som donorer af disse bolde til blinde børn. Jeg kontaktede straks min præsident og vi blev enige om, at det var noget vi skulle prøve at deltage i. Derefter kontaktede jeg kredsformand Aksel Jensen i Danske Blindesamfund Vendsyssel fra Frederikshavn. Aksel Jensen syntes at det var et rigtigt godt projekt, men hans område vedrørte alene voksne blinde fra 18 års alderen. Axel Jensen ville meget gerne formidle en kontakt til Institut for Syn, Hørelse og Døvblindhed under Region Nordjylland. Der igennem kom kontakten til Mads på plads og vi fik aftalt besøget hjemme hos Mads. Præsident Lions Club Bannerslund, Bjarne Sønderlev, var glad for, at vi som Lions Klub kunne være med til skabe glæde for et synshandicappet barn. 08.01.2022 In the October edition of our 2508 magazine, we shared the news of the beloved Dennis Weatherall. Dennis lived the Lion's Club motto "we serve" to the full, wit...h his family, this community and his country. He believed that no Lions project was too big or too small, and if there was a will it could be done. Dennis was not afraid to put the community plans in front of the right people, if it needed to be discussed with the decision maker - no matter their position, from the Premier to the local man at the pub. His efforts live on within the Club, the Stanwell Tops Memorial Park and in Charles Harper Park with the roof over the bandstand and the miner skips. Dennis was a devoted family man to his wife Di, sons Darryn and Jarrod, their partners and adorable grandchildren. RIP our fellow Lion, we will miss you and your fellowship

08.01.2022 This Sunday, 15th December at the starting time of 9 am, Corrimal Lions Club will be supporting the "Walk for Sheree" annual event at Towradgi Park by setting up & cooking at the barbecue for all supporters taking part in either the 3, 5, or 10 km walk. Sheree was a young wife & mum of 3 young children sadly taken too soon. Proceeds going to Cancer Council.

06.01.2022 Just follow your nose to the aroma of a great sausage sizzle this Friday 3rd January at Bunnings Bellambi, Saturday 4th Jan. at Officeworks Fairy Meadow & Sunday 5th also at Officeworks. ALL proceeds for each day will be going to the Lions Bushfire Appeal so come & help us help our neighbours.

04.01.2022 This Thursday 9th January, our first meeting for 2020. Corrimal RSL Club, 6:30 for 7:00pm start. Your more than welcome to come along & join us for our evening meeting, see what Lions are about & discover the impact we as volunteers can make in our community.
