25.01.2022 Year 7 and 8 participated in a national online cyber bullying workshop today with Project Rockit. Various strategies and support networks were discussed regarding cyber bullying for young people.

24.01.2022 Our wonderful Year 10 students had a fun day out climbing trees this week!! Special thanks to Mr McDonald for driving the bus and showing us how to overcome a fear of heights

23.01.2022 So proud of these fabulous human beings. Today they took on the might of Smiths Hill High School, the best debating school in NSW and they were not intimidated. They took on SHHS and debated fiercely. And despite being defeated the adjudicator said it was the highest quality debate she has seen this year. So well done to Laura, Gemma, Eduardo and Paige. Your growth this year has been impressive.



21.01.2022 While a little bit later than normal this year, Jersey Day was celebrated today with great success at Corrimal High School. Attention was also drawn to the important work that the Donate Life network and the Organ and Tissue Authority undergo each year. All funds raised today will go to support organ donation. Well done CHS and the KLC organising committee!

20.01.2022 Surprise, its Twins! In the early hours of Monday one of our ewes gave birth to twin lambs. Both, boy and girl, are healthy and mum is looking after them. This marks the start of our lambing season with more on the way so stay tuned. Year 9/10 Agriculture will be keeping a close eye on their progress over the coming months as part of the rearing and care of baby animals.

11.01.2022 Dear Parents and Carers, This years Annual Award Ceremony will be held in the school hall on Wednesday 9 December 2020. The set up this year will be different to other years due to the current COVID restrictions. ... We will be holding stage presentation assemblies and parents will be notified shortly if their child is receiving an award. Unfortunately due to the current COVID restrictions in schools which determine the maximum number of attendees we are unable to have parents or carers attend these ceremonies. We understand this may be disappointing for families however we appreciate your support under the current circumstances. 11.01.2022 Our wonderful year 7/8 debaters. Although we were defeated by Albion Park, the adjudicator was very impressed that it was the first high school debate for both teams. Well done all! Congratulations on challenging yourself.

09.01.2022 Year 12 Graduation and Formal The Year 12 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday 12 November 2020 at 9:00am in the Corrimal High School Hall. A formal invitation will be sent out to parents this week. Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are limited in the number of people that we can have attending the Ceremony. Therefore, each student is permitted a MAXIMUM OF 2 GUESTS attending the Ceremony. Each person who attends the Ceremony will be required to comp...lete appropriate COVID-19 Contact Tracing documentation which will be held securely by the school for 4 weeks and will then be disposed of appropriately. In addition, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the organisation for this event is subject to change at late notice. With regards to the Year 12 Formal, the school has been working on an appropriate plan to ensure that this can take place. Students have been consulted about this and have had input into the planning process. We will aim to finalise our plans for the Year 12 Formal early in Term 4 and will advise students and parents when this is completed. Regards, Paul Roger Principal

07.01.2022 Two more lambs have been born early this morning. Too early to tell the sexes but both are strong and healthy.

07.01.2022 On Thursday 19 November students from year 9 and 10 participated in a Construction Industry Day at Fusion Training Solutions in North Wollongong. Students learnt about career opportunities in the Construction Industry and completed a Statement of Attainment in Manual Handling Tasks. All had a great time and enjoyed demonstrating their new skills using hand tools to build Bird Feeders.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to Keisha of Year 7 who has been selected in the South Coast Open Girls Cricket team. It is very rare for a Year 7 student to make an open representative team, so we are all super proud of her.

03.01.2022 Stage 6 Work and the Community students have completed their pond project. They are very happy with themselves and their teacher is proud of their achievements. This is their legacy to the CHS Support Unit. Well done to all involved and a special thanks to Ron - Farm Assistant for donating 6 of his own gold fish and Mr Laidler for donating his dinghy.

02.01.2022 Prior to Sentral Parent Portal becoming operational we are trialing a different method to notify parents of student absences. We intend to start sending out these notifications at around 10am daily. 02.01.2022 Students from Ms Temple's 9/10 Agriculture have been studying the use of tractors in agriculture. Today students became familiar with the operation of our tractor and a few lucky students actually did a lap or two.
