25.01.2022 Day 3 and last day of Mandurah’s now Annual Outdoors Painting Festival @pleinairdownunder . I think this might be my favourite painting, I certainly enjoyed creating it. ‘Doddies Beach’ 25X35cm Oil.... This and yesterday’s painting will be on display in the Judge’s Invitational Exhibition at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (CASM). 63 Ormsby Terrace, Mandurah, next Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th Oct, 10am to 4pm. 25.01.2022 Sometimes you just got to stop painting and do some housekeeping on your palette!. Scrape off, clean up and squeeze out some new luscious paint! It might seem like your wasting paint but your actually wasting time trying to scratch around and find a spot to mix clean bright colours with no mud contamination. Makes you feel so good, just do it!

24.01.2022 I’m at Pinjarra today manning the Mandurah Plein Air Artists exhibition in the Old Courthouse building. The exhibition is open Wednesday to Sunday between 10 to 2pm and runs until Thusday 1st October. There is some really gorgeous work by the members of the group on display. 14.01.2022 A busy 5 days of Plein Air painting is ahead of me at this years Mandurah Outdoor Painting Festival @pleinairdownunder . Starting Thursday & Friday I’m very lucky and excited to be a student at @brendondarbyart workshop and then 3 Days at the PADU which includes Sunday at Pinjarra. Yesterday I had a gessoing and toning frenzy of my painting surfaces. Also got some frames organised to show off my finished paintings during the judging and for sales straight of the easel happening each day. 05.01.2022 Day 2 of Workshop with Brendon Darby for Plein Air Down Under at Mandurah this long weekend. I would have to say this is definitely one of the most complex Plein Air paintings subjects I have ever attempted. Painted from the back of the Mandurah Off Shore and Sailing Club, I was so happy I persevered and am super happy with the outcome. Tomorrow the festival begins along the Mandurah Foreshore between 9 to 1.00pm and then the Quick Draw competition begins at 2pm with 2 hours to complete a painting. Judging and sales straight off the artists easels between 4 to 5.30pm. Sunday is at Pinjarra and Monday back at Doddies Beach, Mandurah. Hope to see you all there.
