24.01.2022 We're on the move........

23.01.2022 During the coronavirus pandemic many things may be making us feel sad. We focus a lot on trying to feel happy most of the time, but feeling sad has value too. I...t means that we are learning how to accept a situation, adapt to it, and keep going. If you are feeling sad, allow yourself to recognise and accept it. It’s okay to feel sad. https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au///its-okay-to-feel-sad See more

22.01.2022 Having a kick of the footy this weekend? Now is not the time to drop the ball! Remember you can resume sport and exercise if:... - you can keep your distance (at least 1.5 metres apart), - you are not doing your activities indoors and they are not competitive; and - you can do them with a maximum of 10 people (and 20 people from 1 June). The activity must be non-contact, and you should also avoid sharing equipment, and not share anything that touches the face or head. It's up to all Victorians to do our bit and slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Keep up to date with restrictions relating to sport and recreation at https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/sport-cultural-and-recreational

15.01.2022 Some good advice. Take time to ease your way back into exercise. Take off load and/or turn the tempo down a notch for a few weeks and work your way back up with good form. Modify the exercise. You can still have intensity without as much impact on the body. Enjoy being active again, enjoy being social and most of all enjoy being you!

12.01.2022 Here are some of the recommended ways you can stick to Stage 3 restrictions and keep your body moving: Go for a walk or a run around your block. You could d...o this alone, with your dog, or with any of the people you normally live with. If the path you usually use is busy, choose somewhere else nearby. Go for a bike ride. Choose a path that’s close to home, and invite those you normally live with, or one other friend or family member to come along. Do a dance tutorial! You can find videos online to follow, or search for dance studios in Melbourne who are live streaming from their Facebook pages. Following along in your lounge room will certainly help you work up a sweat. We recognise that exercise is important for your general well-being. Exercising while staying close to home, and maintaining transmission reduction measures, will help us to slow the spread of #COVID19. Following these restrictions will save the lives of people in your community. Find the answers to all your FAQs about restricted activities here: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus-restricted-activiti
