19.01.2022 Here is a local story about a pot hole. Top right of image is the tow truck drivers foot! Other images show it was necessary to tow the vehicles due to safety concerns. The other images show the wheel split caused by impact. ... Vic roads will not look at compensation for damage under certain limits , insurance excess is sometimes high as people manage the balance between claim volumes / against cost to maintain insurance. In this example a client contacted us in the day of the incident, we set up the tow. Engaged a great local mechanical business Melbourne Prestige in Croydon. Then we assessed the vehicle for our client while on the workshop Hoist on Monday morning! What looked like a simple tyre and rim replacement, was simply incorrect. The actual damage caused by impacting this monster pothole had caused a lot of easily missed damage. We worked with our client to claim via their insurance company, we followed this course as we understood how long the delay could be claiming and validating via the roads authority. Possibly this could have been a $1,500 quick fix with our client loosing a substantial excess cost! Factually we discovered large amount of associated damage which left without repair would have potentially disastrous consequences later on down the track. In this case our client paid us nothing to manage this, as our management and fees were paid for in our negotiation with the insurance company . We are positive we got the best outcome for this valued client .

14.01.2022 Life time guarantee? It’s an easy repair? We would only repair your door , not replace it as the vehicle won’t be original! All the stories you will be told when the reality is , a repair needs to be done right or not at all. If your insurance company, simply palm you off to their partner repairer they have just dropped the ball. ... Costs have to be managed in the insurance company / partner repair world. Let’s face it , your claim is costing them money . So sadly things go really wrong as pictured here. This is the door off a later Audi , not our image BTW. But this proves when cost is the only real concern, you are going to loose. Even if you never see the repairs torn apart like this , we see this type of mess all too often . If you have had an accident, and your car was repaired at a shop you didn’t pick. Then maybe you need us to review those repairs and make sure they are correct and complete.

09.01.2022 When an accident that’s NOT your fault costs YOU money? This week we assisted a couple with a less than 3 month old vehicle. The couple had a lease. A driver on the opposite side of a divided highway crossed the median strip impacting one car , leaving our client with no where to go at about 90kph ... Luckily no one was seriously injured but the problem came when claiming on their insurance for the Total Loss. Despite having comprehensive insurance their insurer offer a settlement of market value Our client was set to lose $10,400 for early lease finalisation. We went through all scenarios and successfully negotiated a far better outcome for our client, removing their loss all together. See more

05.01.2022 So today a mate told me he doesn’t have insurance! Guilty as charged from time to time when younger as well. Was my comment. But he maintained he was a good driver. ... When I explained how some people deliberately have accidents to milk other peoples insurance or claim large agreed value claims on their own insurance, leaving uninsured people to fight recovery actions by well funded insurance companies he changed his idea. Basic cover is nothing less than absolutely essential. But check the fine print on any policy ! https://images.app.goo.gl/4CKbuBXNLvD9cTGa9

01.01.2022 When your own insurance company look to save money! Recently we had an enquiry , not a great deal of visible damage but it was total loss. Someone had run into the rear of a Ute. The owner went to his insurance company and lodged a not at fault claim. As they could name the responsible party. ... The owners insurance company incited their PDS and offered our client market value The insurance company assessor looked the vehicle up on a data base , validated some points and that was the offer. We reviewed and found a lot of missed value in that offer, finally negotiating over $8500 more in payment to our client. You can do it yourself and perhaps get a good result , or let us Advocate for you to help get your best outcome.
