23.01.2022 Bittersweet day today, I was supposed to be on a flight to Europe but instead I got to open my business back up fully! Still had to wake up at 4 30am Still had a nap through the day Still got to do some lifting (although this was a barbell and not Emmas oversize baggage)... 21.01.2022 10 session passes now available for all casual group sessions



21.01.2022 Just a little bit of Dalton love for you (it's hard not to love him) He does things every week that impress me but last week he did something that blew me out of the water! This guy just deadlifted 170kg for three reps, multiple times! To put that into perspective, that is over 2.2 x what he weighs! This is the same Dalton who came to me nearly 3 years ago who get barely get 40kg of the ground for a single rep!... He has gained around 15kg whilst keeping a very low bf% - which is impressive for someone who was already an adult when they began (teenagers becoming adults will gain faster) and for somebody not on any performance enhancing substances His squat is nearly 7 x what it was when he started, his bench press is 3.5 x what it was.. i could talk about this guy all day The moral of the story: Dalton has done this on only 2 strength sessions per week BUT he has NEVER missed a session, follows the program to a T and puts in 100% every time.. that's all it takes! All in all, he's just a fucking legend

14.01.2022 So many people think that they have to stop all forms of exercise when they fall pregnant, for some it is the right choice but for most, training throughout can be a great tool to help with any physical changes and more importantly mental health! Jenna took it one step further than most though, picture number 1 was taken on our last session before COVID hit, it was also the DAY SHE WENT TO HOSPITAL TO DELIVER HER BABY! 12.01.2022 T E N Y E A R S Here's what we've been doing for the last decade! 10 years ago, I took my first group exercise class... 9 years ago, I started taking on 1on1 clients for another business 8 years ago, I started 'Cory Hearn Personal Training' 7 years ago, I left the safety net of a 'gym' and tried my luck going solo, renting a tiny run-down room and using a park primarily 6 years ago I became a mentor through my fitness institution to help other trainers start out their own businesses with more assistance than what was currently available 5 years ago i secured my second studio and commenced running indoor group sessions 4 years ago was all about growth! Starting 2 new training programs & signing up to complete my diploma of massage therapy 3 years ago, I hired @damon_chpt my first full-time trainer under the 'Cory Hearn PT' banner 2 years ago, we upgraded our facility and created something that we are so proud of 1 year ago, my diploma of massage therapy finally came through, allowing us to expand our business even more This year so far has been about adapting our business to deal with Covid and bringing more online methods into our day-to-day work Fair to say our last 10 years has been pretty busy, i cannot wait to see where the next 10 take me @ Cory Hearn Personal Training See more

If somebody is keen to train but they have a headache they just can't shake, you adapt and give them a workout that isn't gong to be bouncing around making it worse When Kyle comes in and tells me that he's got a promising new match on tinder.. 09.01.2022 When you're feeling a bit shit, it's not news to anybody that exercise will make you feel better.. Training with a friend is even better than that! If you have a mate that you think is going through a bit of a rough time, here's something that you can do - Step 1: Send me a message on here and say that you or your friend are having a bad day... Step 2: We'll book you into one of our casual group sessions, no questions asked and we won't make you guys pay Step 3: Message your friend and tell them you're going to drag their arse out of bed for half an hour to come and get some frustrations out Step 4: It may not have fixed the problem, but at least you'll feel a lot better, even if just for a short time It's been a rough year for almost everyone so if we can help improve the mental health of the community here in any way, we'll do it

05.01.2022 Unbelievable day at the Bruny Island Ultra Marathon yesterday! Such a positive vibe from the first kilometre right through to the end! As a team, we had to complete 64km but these absolute legends went well above and beyond and we covered 304km in total Proud is a huge understatement

03.01.2022 For anyone that wanted to stay informed, no win for Cory last night! This is my second loss in any sort of combat event, but it's much different to last time, I'm not disappointed I was actually super happy with my performance, we won fight of the night and it was a very close match that i lost during the overtime round I was going to post a photo of a point in the match where i was losing but i think my friends and family must be biased and only caught the good bits

03.01.2022 A really common reason I hear people hold off on joining a group exercise program is that 'I'm not fit enough' or 'I'm too overweight'.. It seems silly because that is why you SHOULD be doing things like that, but i do understand, nobody wants to look out of place.. Losing is never fun, but if you look for the opportunities to learn from them - it's a win in the long-term For me, it means getting straight back in the gym and drilling a position that stumped me on the weekend (the one pictured)... I'm no life coach but i do know this can apply to more than losing a fight! Not getting the job you applied for or letting a great opportunity pass you by for example .. Look where you fucked up and make sure it won't happen again
