22.01.2022 A very kind supporter of Cos has made an incredibly generous donation from her stimulus package to our charity. With the current climate we are unable to generate our usual income made from doing the Bbq's, this donation is very much appreciated. This is such a challenging and unknown time for everyone.... 21.01.2022 The biggest THANK YOU goes to the City of Playford for supplying Cos We Care with a produce wrapping and sealing machine. Makes our volunteers jobs on a Friday morning so much easier. Ann and Briony were all smiles this week testing out the new additions.

Beautiful fresh fruit and veg, bread, bread rolls, icecream, kombucha, vitamins, shampoo, hot pies, cake and a hot cuppa. We are back into full swing after being restricted over the last few months due to Covid19. ... *Please note that Cos We Care follow strict Covid19 guidelines at all times*

18.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to Covid lockdown, Bunnings bbq has been cancelled on Saturday. As Cos We Care is classified as an essential front line service, we will still be distributing Saturday and Sunday with a few small changes. There will a Covid Marshall on site and people must follow his instructions. See you there.

17.01.2022 HELP REQUIRED. As the demand for Cos services is growing, we now need to be able grow as well. We are now seeking more volunteers.... We have been lucky enough to get bbq's again at Bunnings Munno Para. These will be on either a Monday or Wednesday. As these are our main source of revenue, we need to be able to do them. Anyone able to help, please contact us.

16.01.2022 August 2nd - 8th is Homelessness week 2020 #HW2020 with the theme of "Everybody needs a home" As you know, many of our clients are homeless and rely on Cos We Care each week to supply them with basic necessities. We are 100% not for profit and are run entirely by dedicated volunteers.... 2020 has seen a huge decline in our fundraising revenue due to the lengthy pause in Bunnings BBQs, and we need your help! Ann and some of our Cos We Care volunteers will be at the Elizabeth Shopping Centre Saturday August 29th, from 9am til 430pm doing the "Fill our Trolley" drive. We will set up outside of Coles and encourage you to come along and say hi and pop something in our trolley. ... All items donated are distributed to those in need in our local community. 11.01.2022 We would like to thank the students of a Year 5 class at Bethany Christian School. They chose Cos We Care for an impact project they were working on and came out to see what we do, volunteer their time to help and did their own fundraiser at school making and selling sandwiches to raise money to give to us. Thank you for your kindness and choosing Cos We Care. We are so grateful for your support and compassion. Such a beautiful thing for children to share and learn in helping and giving to others

11.01.2022 Wow, the generosity of people is mindblowing sometimes. I'm sure you have all heard the saying "he/she would give the shirt off their back", well a kind hearted gentleman has literally just done that. With no means of making a food or monetary donation at this point of time, we just had a man donate the cosy warm jacket off his own back, so we can pass it onto someone who may need it more! ... And not long after this kind hearted gesture, we had another beautiful soul donate a trolley of non-perishable food items. We appreciate to support from our local community, and can promise you the people we support are very grateful also. Thank you awesome people!

07.01.2022 A HUGE thank you goes to Samantha Rimmer, our Saturday cook. Over the last few weeks she has gathered donations and this week she has cooked and packed it. Today, she and her family have delivered 80 Christmas dinner meals to our families in need. Relax now Sam and have yourself a Merry Christmas. You have excelled yourself.

06.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, and our lovely clients for coming out this morning. We have had to change the way we hand out much needed food to our clients including bags of food ready to go, and social distancing measures put in place (markers on the ground every 2 meters for people to keep a safe standing distance), and a sanitation station before clients receive a bag. We also handed out some information sheets on Covid-19 symptoms with our food bags, and as we could not serve hot meals, everyone who came today got to take home a lasagna to heat and eat at home.

We have procedures to put in place to ensure social distancing is adhered to and hygiene is of the upmost importance. *Please only come to Cos if you are feeling well, and please leave the family at home. Only one person from each family please!*... This will help us ensure social distancing is followed, and still allow us to bring food to those in need.

04.01.2022 Lots of hungry people in the city this morning, more than the last few weeks. Many of Adelaides homeless are in hotel accommodation at the moment to help minimise the spread of Covid-19, however these people are not given any food or the facilities to cook food. Without food within their accommodation these vulnerable people are left to go searching for food each day (not that great when we are all bring encouraged to stay in iso). This morning everyone was full of smiles and jokes and ever so grateful for their bag chocca block of groceries, hot soup and easter eggs

02.01.2022 Ann and Sonja were thrilled to receive a Community Grant from the Commonwealth Bank Elizabeth branch today for $500.00. Thank you so much to the Branch Manager Kate for presenting us with the cheque and to Bonny and the other staff for hearing more about what Cos We Care do in the community. We rely heavily on donations as we raise all our revenue through Bbq's and fundraising.... We are so very grateful for this grant which helps our charity greatly. Merry Christmas to all
