Permanent make up is a much gentler form of tattooing, permanent makeup penetrates into the dermis and sometimes even to the sub-cutis,thedifference betweensemi-permanentand permanent makeup is the depth of the penetration of the skin. As mentioned before, human skin composes of three distinct layers, with the epidermis being the outermost layer. Semi-permanent makeup pigments into the epidermal area, barely touching the dermis which means it will not last very long (usually 2-5 years) but this does depend on the persons’skin type.
