25.01.2022 Another successful morning in Airlie Beach with the North Queensland First support team. We actually had four branded up helpers from our party again today, all of them local, compared to the ‘Lone Ranger’ who again suited up for the South-East Liberals. No sign of the candidate either....probably still licking her wounds after being exposed on the issue of the Urannah Dam.

20.01.2022 BREAKING: North Queensland First is set to announce a funding commitment of $120m to build a new road from Collinsville to Proserpine, thereby linking the Bowen Basin coalfields with the Whitsundays, if we secure the balance of power at this month’s State Election.
19.01.2022 Delighted to see the signing of documents this afternoon, paving the way for the redevelopment of the sports park at Jubilee Pocket. I was pleased to bring the Mackay Cutters here for an Intrust Super Cup game against the Norths Devils in 2013. Now my focus is upgrading the junior sporting complex at Proserpine, hence our $550,000 commitment subject to myself being re-elected on October 31 & North Queensland First securing the balance of power.

18.01.2022 Interesting to see another candidate jumping on my Laguna Quays bandwagon. For those who missed the news or didn’t report the news, I made a very controversial statement recently about this once mighty resort. In a nutshell, the company that controls the lease, Chinese-controlled Fullshare, needs to be booted. That’s right. They should have their lease ripped up for failing to deliver what they said they would do. This Chinese mob won’t even engage with the local community. I... had to put a rocket up them a couple of years ago....just to make sure VMR Midge Point had access to the marina in case of emergency. Fullshare has had ample opportunity to fix up Laguna Quays which is nothing like their resort at Port Douglas. They are also nothing like the Japanese company Aqua Del Rey that build Laguna Quays all those years ago, providing jobs for hard working local people including Paul Bowman, then just a teenager who later carved out a successful career in rugby league. If I am re-elected & if North Queensland First secures the balance of power, Laguna Quays will be taken back by the State Government & $4.5m spent on fixing up the marine precinct including giving access back to local people & tourists....like the good old days. That is by far the best way forward to boost tourism & local jobs & support the recreational fishing sector in the aftermath of COVID-19. It’s also much better than the LNP concept of starting another facility, aided by those people on the Mackay Regional Council who have no genuine interest in Midge Point, Laguna Quays & surrounding areas. 17.01.2022 Labor’s replacement candidate for Whitsunday needs to say if she agrees with me in saying we need a second primary school in the Cannonvale Airlie Beach area....one that also caters for high school students. Who’s asking her? Parents? Media? The fact remains that as Leader of North Queensland First & local MP, I have already pledged $50m (yes, that is how much they cost) to build a new P-12 school west of Airlie, which we have called the Cannon Valley State College. If you ha...ven’t read about it in the local media, you have to ask the question, why not? Airlie Beach is disconnected from Blacks Beach but local parents need to understand that Labor’s last MP for Whitsunday, with a background in education, promised us the Northern Beaches State High School in 2001 when she was first elected but it never happened until I came along. We’ve also seen Labor close down country schools in my electorate prior to my election, specifically at Yalboroo, Narpi & Mt Charlton & in more recent times, they killed off the Seaforth kindy before concerns were raised about Hayman Island State School.....until I stuck my beak in. Labor can talk about education as much as they want but this latest candidate needs to get her head around the fact that in Whitsunday, Labor’s record is utterly appalling. PS: If you’re wondering where the money is coming from to build this new P-12 school at Cannon Valley, it’s from our $1b Building the North program.....paid for by mining royalties. It’s either that or more of our mining royalties from our own backyard being ploughed into the SE corner under Labor or the South-East Liberals. See more

13.01.2022 Checking out the restoration work today at Shute Harbour....only made possible thanks to my strong lobbying of Queensland’s most senior Federal Cabinet Minister in the wake of Cyclone Debbie. Up until late August 2017, nothing was guaranteed for what was once the second busiest passenger port in the country....until I fired up & confronted Peter Dutton in Gloucester Passage! The rest is history.

11.01.2022 Smoked Amanda Camm from the LNP or the South-East Liberals in this week’s debate. She didn’t like it one iota when I exposed her for failing to even mention the proposed Urannah Dam in a meeting of the Mackay Regional Council. She only had four years to do it....as Deputy Mayor & in which local government area is the actual dam site? That’s right. The Mackay local government area, which goes to show her interest in water infrastructure, specifically Urannah, is fake.

Not surprisingly, the South-East Liberals have shafted me on their how-to-vote card for Whitsunday, putting me just in front of the pro-cannabis candidate. Considering I am far more conservative than Amanda Camm or her boss, Debbie Frecklington, what does that say about these people? It’s the same mob that has also promoted the Greens up the order on their HTV card. Anyone who used to vote for the Nationals would be absolutely disgusted on all fronts. Remember, put North Queensland First unless you want more of the same rubbish from the major parties. FTI, my HTV card coming shortly.
