23.01.2022 Supporting children to develop relationships with other children in the centre allows them to engage in peer learning opportunities. Our friends in the Merivale space have used these meaningful relationships to further develop their language skills and understanding of those around them.

22.01.2022 Our families are an important part of our centre and we love to support them in any way we can! Throughout the month, we host breakfast for our families so they can not only taste the menu, but also grab a bite to eat before they start their day!

21.01.2022 We've found some amazing things to visit in our community backyard! The sensory dome and flower arbours have been a huge hit with our younger members, as they listen to the sounds and take in the sights. What are some other wonderful things we can visit in our community? Where do you like to go on your weekend?

21.01.2022 Supporting our local community is important to us, so we're always looking at ways we can connect with organisations in our area. We have been working alongside Journey Early Learning Centre Indooroopilly to collect items that can be donated to the Children's Hospital Foundation and support children and families within the hospital. This is such a wonderful organisation that does such inspirational work. Don't forget the Channel 9 Telethon is this Saturday the 14th of Novem...ber and you can get involved! More information can be found here: https://www.9telethon.com.au/

19.01.2022 Extending on the children's exploration of their identity we introduced photos of each child within our Merivale space. This allowed the children to explore their own beliefs around who they are and who their peers are as they pieced the photos back together. The children found joy in showing the photos of their peers to their friends and saying the names of the other children.

18.01.2022 Look at what I'm creating with sand! Our children show their creativity within our outdoor sandpits, as they construct ideas and thoughts from their imagination into creations.

17.01.2022 Our aim is to work collaboratively with families to support the transition of their child within our service. To achieve this we have created an individualised approach to orientations that support both the child and family in a holistic way. We recognise families as their child's first teacher and love for families to share their tips, ideas, thoughts and suggestions with us as we get to know their child and them!

11.01.2022 Yesterday we held a Telethon Carnival to raise awareness for the Channel 9 Telethon in support of the Children's Hospital that is occurring this Saturday. We had face painting, hair spraying, duck bobbing, bean bag throwing but the favourite was the fun in the water park and the bubbles! For more information on ways to support the Children's Hospital head to Children's Hospital Foundation or visit https://www.9telethon.com.au/ for more information on the Telethon this Saturday!

04.01.2022 Cruising into the weekend like nothing else matters! What parks do you love to visit in our community?

03.01.2022 We are taking part in the challenge here at Cottage Grove! #firstnationsstories

03.01.2022 We supported our younger children to create representations through the language of art around how they perceive themselves. This promoted the children to utilise their creativity to express themselves through the experience.

02.01.2022 Our children have been exploring their responsibility towards hygiene practices. They love to use these moments to also try to catch the water in their hands!
