25.01.2022 Hello Parkrunners, for those who ran yesterday (Saturday 30th Jan) could you please check your belongings to see if you have a token? We are missing #77. If you find it please let me know at [email protected] and I'll arrange to pick it up before next Saturday's run.....hopefully lockdown will be over by then ;) Regards, Tara French

24.01.2022 No parkrun but the fishing and surfing looks popular

22.01.2022 We've just heard from our tail walker for this week that he has broken his leg and will not be able to walk the course. Carl, I hope your leg heals quickly and we can see you back at Parkrun soon. Are there any Park runners who can step up and fill the vacant volunteer spots? We still need Tail Walker, Time Keeper and Marshals.

22.01.2022 The team are working on having Cottesloe parkrun restart soon. So unfortunately we are not on tomorrow, Saturday 28 November 2020. Thank you everyone for your patience!

22.01.2022 Those of you who attended Cottesloe parkrun last Saturday would have heard that our equipment went missing over the break. While we were able to borrow some gear and run on Saturday, we are unable to continue until the equipment is located or replaced. As such, Cottesloe parkrun is sadly cancelled this week (2nd January 2021). If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of the equipment please message us or the police as soon as possible. Unfortunately replacement equipment cannot be obtained without a police report and insurance claim, and there will be delays due to the public holidays.

20.01.2022 This Saturday at Cottesloe parkrun we welcome members of Run Down Under to come along for a free 5km run or walk! Run Down Under is an event that sees members virtually run around Australia by logging the kilometres they have run or walked onto an online profile. The kilometres are continually added to your journey with a total of 14, 080kms needed to complete the journey around Australia. The date is also a rarity in the parkrun calendar - 29th of February! It is not often that the extra day of a leap year falls on parkrunday (formerly known as Saturday). Please feel free to do some leaping before, during or after the event if you so wish.

20.01.2022 Happy snaps from our Christmas Day parkrun this time last year! We are back tomorrow at a different start area (Corner of Princes St and Marine Parade) but at the same time 8 am. Merry Christmaseveryone! @ Cottesloe parkrun

15.01.2022 Event Cancellation - 2nd January 2021 and Update Happy New Year everyone! As you might be aware, our parkrun equipment is currently still missing. As such we will be unable to host tomorrow's run as we do not have the necessary first aid kit and defibrillator on hand. A police report has been made in-relation to our lost property and the replacement parkrun equipment is scheduled to be dispatched from parkrun HQ in Qld on Monday, 4 January 2021.... If the parkrun equipment arrives in-time for our next parkrun on 9 January 2021 and we have enough volunteers for that day, we will restart our run then. Regards Kevin Too Event Director

14.01.2022 The latest update from parkrun Aus.

14.01.2022 Event Cancellation for 6 Feb and 13 Feb As per the Western Australian Government announcement on 4 February 2021, Perth and Peel will commence a post-lockdown transition, and as such, parkrun events in these areas are required to cancel on both Saturday 6 and 13 February 2021. We understand our event may not reach the community sport limit of 150, however, there is a risk that with neighbouring parkrun cancellations' due to their attendance being greater than 150, that may r...esult in our average attendance being exceeded, as the runners move from those events that are unable to operate to our event. It is expected that we resume parkrun at Cottesloe on Saturday, 20 February 2021. Stay tuned! Regards Kevin Too Event Director

11.01.2022 As many of you will know, parkrun in WA has had permission to restart tomorrow, which is fabulous news. However, Cottesloe has not yet had permission from the landowner (Council), and this is a requirement of restarting. We are working really hard to get this through and will let you know as soon as we can. It does mean that we are one of the few that will not be operating tomorrow. So that you know where you can run, the following other runs will also NOT be starting: Applec...ross, Edinburgh Oval, Kadina Trail, Mt Clarence, Port Hedland and Rockingham, Burswood Penninsula.....so don't go to those! That does mean there are lots of local parkruns you CAN attend, so please go and volunteer, support and enjoy. We are sorry we can't offer our lovely beach run tomorrow but will be back very soon.
