14.01.2022 NCHA Coronavirus COVID-19 Update The NCHA Board of Directors are aware of the current Coronavirus situation and have been actively observing and reviewing all r...elevant advice available. Under current advice from the New South Wales State Government we have no alternative than to postpone the 2020 NCHA Futurity. This postponement is in line with the current government restrictions in place until June 2020 when the situation will be reassessed. We will continue to monitor this complex situation and it is our intention to provide a further update including the Futuritys rescheduling as more information becomes available. We apologise to our members, sponsors and spectators, however, we want to express that the safety and well-being of our members and guests is our highest priority. 11.01.2022 IMPORTANT NEWS!!!! Unfortunately due to the drought conditions within our district our cattle supplier has had to withdraw from providing us cattle for our Futurity. The committee has had to make a gut wrenching decision to cancel this years Futurity our entry numbers were looking awesome but without cattle we cannot go ahead.Those that have paid entries these will be refunded to you in the next coming days. Again we apologise for the inconvenience but hears hoping for a better season leading into 2019.

06.01.2022 Vale Ken Mackay, Ken Mackay, the patriarch of all things at Merawah, passed away peacefully in Goondiwindi last night surrounded by family and friends aged 93. ... Ken was a greatly respected cattleman, horseman, pilot and was pretty much good at anything! He was also a wonderful father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren and a great mentor to many. R.I.P. Dad - they don't make them like you any more. Ken's funeral will be held at the Church of England, Goondiwindi on the 22nd of January at 11am (QLD time).

05.01.2022 2020 NCHA 4CYTE Futurity event cancelled due to Coronavirus The NCHA Board held a special meeting on Thursday August 6th to discuss whether the 2020 NCHA 4CYTE ...Futurity would be able to run in the current environment surrounding COVID-19. Based on Government recommendations, border closures and the uncertainty of the next few months, it was decided that the 2020 NCHA Futurity show scheduled for October 26th November 8th be cancelled. The NCHA remains committed to crowning the 2020 NCHA aged division champions at the earliest achievable opportunity. The NCHA has exhausted every avenue to provide its members, sponsors and the wider community an all-inclusive age event on the dates advertised; however, the health and safety of competitors, staff, volunteers and spectators alike remains of the upmost importance and has largely dictated our decision to cancel the scheduled event. The NCHA and its board of directors would like to extend thanks to those who have supported the event for 2020, and look forward to working with them for an event in the future. The NCHA office will advise of the process of entry cancelation and refunds as soon as possible. We would like to assure all stakeholders that this decision was not taken lightly. NCHA Board
