19.01.2022 CALLING ALL PARENTS & SPECTATORS Just like all parents and guardians, we really wish that all swimming meets were able to be run the way we’ve always known them... to. However, this ‘new normal’ (under COVID-19 restrictions) does result in having to hold all meets as ‘closed events’, following physical distancing measures, venue capacities and contact tracing guidelines for the foreseeable future. Based upon each venue, physical distancing requirements will mean that you will be assigned a defined spectator area which may not always be exactly where you’d like to sit to catch the action in the pool. Despite these obstacles, we are grateful of being able to resume swimming meets under these ‘new normal’ circumstances and give Queensland swimmers the opportunity to once again compete and enjoy racing! We sincerely thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging time and hope that you join us in our excitement for the upcoming meets scheduled.

16.01.2022 Nominations for the Cotton Tree Transition Meet on Saturday 5th September are now OPEN! This is a split meet for Wide Bay swimmers. We will be operating under strict COVID restrictions, so please note there will be no access for spectators.... An email will be sent to all Wide Bay clubs with further details, and we look forward to seeing you at Cotton Tree, ready to race!

McDonald’s wants to help YOU get back to swimming by giving away a McDonald’s towel and a M...cCafe Keep Cup with 1 month’s supply of McCafe coffees. There are 3 ways to enter: - Parents/Guardians, simply comment below with the name of a swimmer and their club who you feel is deserving of this prize. - Swimmers, simply comment with your club and Mum or Dad’s name who you feel deserves a warm drink to keep them moving on these early winter mornings. - Nominate another parent/swimmer that you feel is deserving of this prize. The swimmer MUST be a member of a Swimming Queensland Club and will win a McDonald’s towel with the parent/guardian winning a McCafe Keep Cup and a month’s worth of McCafe coffee vouchers (from participating McCafe locations). 07.01.2022 Thank you to all clubs who sent members to the AGM today. After an agonising wait, there was a new committee formed. They will be formally introduced by Everlyn... in an email over the coming days as she has continued in the role of Secretary. Thank you to Michelle, Shannon, Luke and Michael for your work on the committee. A massive thank you to Deb who walks away after 6 years on the committee. Thank you to all clubs for your support over the last 5 years. I have made some wonderful friends over that time and have also seen the development of WB swimmers.
