20.01.2022 Next Saturday is the first EV Challenge event of 2019 at a brand new location of the Tiger Kart Club track in Cockburn. Pete will pilot our 2018 spec car for the qualifying and 1 hour race. If youre free, wed love to see you down there from 1:30 pm onward.

18.01.2022 Brand new set of tread on the car thanks to George's Bike Shop Willetton! T-14 Days

17.01.2022 Testing under the cover of darkness...

16.01.2022 Shes alive again!

16.01.2022 The 2018 eV Challenge will be the teams 10th year of competition and with approximately 90 days (date isnt confirmed yet) until the race, were working on simplifying the onboard electrical circuits and improving car handling. More updates soon!

16.01.2022 Last minute parts arriving before tomorrows race... just in time!

15.01.2022 Finally ready for our 10th EV Challenge!

15.01.2022 Ahead of the 2020 eV Challenge, weve been slowly improving the car with improved wiring, military grade vibration proof plugs and adding both active and passive cooling for the controller and motor. Fingers crossed that the 20th year of the eV goes ahead on October 24th!

14.01.2022 Congratulations to the hardworking committee of the eV Challenge who won the State Event of the Year Award at the CAMS awards ceremony tonight!

13.01.2022 Driver Briefing at the May Event. 1 hour until qualifying and its been eventful already with some damage on the way here (that weve patched) and a very hilly track!

13.01.2022 We went full F1 today with a custom seat fitting for Pete that molds to the shape of his body for a much more comfortable drive that also helps him feel the car.

12.01.2022 Coulomb Motorsport Takes 1st Place in Class C A nail biting race with the controller struggling with the heat and limiting our power but Pete managed the car beautifully delivering our 2nd Class C win in 3 years. There are two more other events/categories to go before we know whether well be the outright champion for our first time ever! Thanks to everyone who came out today and those who have supported us from afar!

12.01.2022 With the first race of 2019 tomorrow were very happy to add Haddow Electrical as a sponsor to our 2019 efforts. Shane has been a great supporter and we wouldnt be able to compete without the support and sponsorship of Haddow and George's Bike Shop. 3:30 pm tomorrow at Cockburn Kart Track is qualifying and 4 pm is the race.

11.01.2022 Thanks to the EV Challenges official photographer Step Up Photography who captured the day for all the teams. Here are al the photos of us from the day!

10.01.2022 Good news! The EV Challenge is back, albeit with a COVIDSafety officer, and were excited to go racing for our 11th year in the eV Challenges 19 year history. Save the date, wed love to see you there!

09.01.2022 Exciting things to come in 2019!

08.01.2022 Running the same chassis since late 2014 (following a crash by James), weve been able to make our car modular. This allows us to unbolt the rear subframe and trial different types of drive systems and their efficiencies. This was our 2016 drivetrain that we also ran last year at the eV Challenge.... less than 100 days to go!

07.01.2022 Something is going on here.... 1 month until this years race

07.01.2022 Only 25 more days until well be on the track. Join us for our 10th EV Challenge on the 27th October at 1:30 PM

05.01.2022 3 years since we first built it, the bike clearly needed some mechanical checks. After getting some massive speed wobbles at high speed, James took the bike to Georges Bikes and we discovered the head tube was loose! The body work came off for the first time in years and the bike is back in business. Its a real buzz. Thanks to GBS for keeping us safe

05.01.2022 It's been a few weeks since the 2017 eV Challenge and we're back at it ahead of the 2018 March event. Whilst over in Europe to run the Athens Marathon, James has graphed all the lap times of the 2017 A & C Class event so we can visualise lap time differences, pit stop strategies and find out where we lost the ~ 1 minute from 1st place. More updates to come over the next few weeks.

04.01.2022 Rather tempting.....

03.01.2022 Almost ready for pre-event scrutineering tomorrow!

03.01.2022 Overall Champions of the EV Challenge for the first time since we started 10 years ago!! Thank you to every single person who has helped us over the years and the event organisers for continuing to grow this awesome event

03.01.2022 The rules this year mandate that solo drivers must exit and then re-enter the car at the two compulsory pit stops. With this in mind, weve worked on making it easier for the driver to get strapped in with these adhesive strips to hold the belts out of the way.

03.01.2022 Awesome job by the EV Challenge Committee and sponsors Synergy to organise this video/mini doco promoting our fantastic sport!

03.01.2022 Take a ride onboard with Pete for the first 35 minutes of the May eV Challenge. Unfortunately the camera ran out of charge before Petes final stint of consecutive fastest laps but you can skip to 30 minutes in for a few decent laps with a clear track.

02.01.2022 More than just a new coat of paint! Thanks to the tireless efforts of Peter Emery from George's Bike Shop Willetton, weve extensively modified the chassis of the car to reduce weight by 21% whilst improving driver safety and comfort. The car is now aptly called Jenny Craig after a 5 week diet inspired by the new 2019 regulations. ... Were super excited for the 2019 EV Challenge on 2nd November at the Cockburn Kart Track and hope to see you there. Cheers, James, Peter and Pete

01.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all! May you have a wonderful day filled with family and friends

01.01.2022 Official EV Challenge Photos are now out and I think this one captures the high caliber of cars, drivers and overall competitiveness of our Class perfectly. 3 abreast into Turn 1!
