20.01.2022 Just a reminder letting everyone know at 5pm today myself and the mayor will be in Les Muller park in Blackbutt to discuss the corporate and community plans for the future thank you please feel free to let your friends know

16.01.2022 A great way to finish a busy week attending and being invited to chair the AGM for the Bunya Mountains Community Organisation at the Bunyas Saturday afternoon, something I appreciated. Being able to work closely with this community group we have been able to take big steps in a positive direction very quickly with great improvements for pedestrian safety and beautification at the Bunyas. During the worst of COVID restrictions in 2020 I was pleased to be able to help connect them to Stanwell for funding their new seats and first aid courses. Really looking forward to the year ahead and watching and certainly wanting to help this group achieve their goals. #SBRC #bunyamountains #DiscoverSouthBurnett #WorkingHard #ThankfulForTheRain Bunya Mountains

15.01.2022 Hectic start to this week! On Monday I had the absolute honour to be a part of the investiture ceremony for school leaders at Benarkin State School. This was the primary school I attended, and to see the improvements and extra facilities now available to the current students and staff is amazing. I must say the children looked very smart in their uniforms every student in full uniform is very impressive. I was disappointed not to be able to attend Yarraman ceremony in the aft...ernoon due to council issues but had the honour of meeting the two new leaders for Yarraman P-9 who attended the Benarkin ceremony with Principal Kurt Rose. Coincidentally the new leaders for Yarraman were two past students from Benarkin State School Well done young people! #SBRC #DiscoverSouthBurnett #ThankfulForTheRain #Benarkin #Blackbutt #QueenslandEducation #qldgov #futureleaders Benarkin, Queensland, Australia Benarkin State School See more

14.01.2022 After all the pre-works,consultations and planning one of the biggest and best projects in our region's history, certainly since amalgamation is finally underway. The flow on effect to our local economy has been immediate, the contractors have already employed an extra person on the second day of construction, all the sand and gravel required to lay the water main and pipe for the recycled water for the gardens have all been sourced locally and this will only grow throughout ...the entire project. This project is not only significant for Kingaroy, but the whole of our region. When the project is completed you will be able to walk through and see the connection to the whole of the South Burnett from Blackbutt to Proston and everywhere in between. Already other councils are wanting to and will send their graduate engineers to tour and understand the works involved in the KTP project because of its recognition as a significant and leading project in rural Australia rural town revitalisation and economy stimulation. Can’t wait to deliver this project to the South Burnett people when completed, unashamedly a massive supporter of this. If anyone has any questions please contact me through my email- [email protected] cheers #SBRC #DiscoverSouthBurnett #WorkingHard ##ThankfulForTheRain #Kingaroy #SouthBurnett #KTP #BBRF #AusGov Kingaroy, Queensland #KCCI Kingaroy, Queensland See more

11.01.2022 Out to Wooroolin this morning to support Cr Scott Henschen and CEO Mark Pitt present the council’s corporate plan to the community at the market’s. Done a quick drive through the works going on on the highway between Tingoora and Wondai while in the area, this will be a huge improvement for our residents and visitors travelling throughout our great region. Thank you to DTMR for the continued support and work you are continuing to do throughout our region. DTMR are currently d...oing the work at Tingoora and have also started the D’Aguilar Highway upgrade from Cairns St Nanango to Kingaroy. This includes approximately $24 million worth of upgrades. I have been very happy to be a part of working alongside council staff over the last 3-4 years actively advocating for these upgrades. To see them finally get underway is extremely exciting and can’t wait to see the positive impact this work has on safety for our residents and visitors. Again huge thank you to DTMR and the state government #qldgov #SBRC #discoversouthburnett #workinghard #ThankfulForTheRain #DTMR #KingaroyQld Wooroolin Community Markets Wooroolin, Queensland, Australia Kingaroy, Queensland See more

05.01.2022 After being restricted by council meetings for the last week or so I was happy to finally get out and meet some of our residents and listen to their issues and work with them to put a plan together to improve their situations. This morning I was at the Bunya Mountains talking with community members regarding the safety issues around the intersection turning into Bunya Avenue. After discussions I think we have a very sensible and achievable solution to really improve safety for everyone who uses this very busy area at the top of the mountain. Looking forward to seeing a positive outcome.#DiscoverSouthBurnett #ThankfulForTheRain #WorkingHard #BunyaMountains #MainRoads #DTMR #SBRC #VisitSouthBurnett Bunya Mountains
