21.01.2022 One of the more important things we have done this year is to develop our Draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2020-2024. Tonight our council approved community consultation of the plan, and it would be great for you to have your say on this. We also approved a fee waiver for the Prospect District Cricket Club as we have for other sporting clubs severely impacted by COVID-19. If you live in Prospect, there's lots to be involved with in the next few weeks!!!

07.01.2022 Well according to my Facebook memories, on this day 2 years ago I was at the Prospect Fair with other would be councillors, 3 years ago I was flying to Port Lincoln, and 4 years ago I was having lunch at the Po Lin Monastery and dinner at Dim Dim Sum in Hong Kong.but tonight I’m here at council with an agenda of 622 pages! So settle in for a long night!! We had two good questions tonight on the Broadview Oval re-development, and how we hear the voices of dog owners (and may...be dogs!) with the Narnu Wirra Playspace. Currently hearing from the chair of our Audit and Risk Committee on how the committee can add even more value to our work thanks Corinne! 06.01.2022 Ok, home stretch.we considered a number of updates from Eastern Waste Management Authority Board, Audit Committee, Plannign Reform Update, Prospect Innovation Awards, Investment Report, Borrowings, East Waste Bin Audit (did you know that 53.1% of the material in the general waste bin was unrecovered resources that could have been recycled or composted!!), Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, and our new facilities booking program. 01.01.2022 Broadview Oval Masterplan -not quite yet there...a further targeted consultation will take place over the next few weeks and will come back to Council in November for approval. Narnu Wirra Playspace - the plan has been endorsed, and will go back out to community consultation - dog owners (and dogs) we want to hear from you! woof! JW Rattley Park upgrade - take two....no one was particularly happy with the first attempt, so we will be going out to talk to community again...stay tuned!!
