13.01.2022 Food for thought......Do you respect yourself enough? I know sometimes this is easier said than done. When you do walk away, it can feel empowering,it can feel scary and sometimes like a weight has lifted....... Do you think it is always just so clear cut? ... Do you think it makes you selfish? If you don't walk away, does it mean you don't respect yourself? See more
12.01.2022 Sometimes as parents it is hard to see our children hurting, sad, embarrassed etc. As parents we need to remember to try and turn all these emotions into positive important learning opportunities, helping them become well rounded and resilient adults.....cause sometimes life can suck...that's life....

05.01.2022 This coming week we celebrate 50yrs of promoting mental health and helping to reduce the stigma that often still comes attached. Here are 7 important ways to help reduce that stigma ....... 1. Know the facts....educate yourself, instead of blindly flowing the myths.... 2. Become more self-aware....we can change our negative inherent behaviours and thoughts. Choose to see people as unique individuals, not as labels or stereotypes. 3. Carefully choose your words....words can wound. Don't use hurtful or derogatory language. 4. Educate others....challenge myths and stereotypes. Find ways and opportunitues to pass on positive attitudes and facts about people with mental heath problems. 5. Positive focus. Applauded and recognize the positive stories. Mental health problems are only a part of what makes the person a whole contributing member of society. We have all heard negative stories, change the focus. 6. Support people....encourage people in your life with metal health problems in their efforts to get well. Think about how you would like to be treated in the same situation. Always do so respectfully and with dignity. 7. Be inclusive....people with mental health problems deserve and have the right to take an equal part in society. Jobs, housing, health care, things we take for granted are often unfairly denied to people with mental health problems. Be the difference, be the change....reducing mental health stigma everyday.
03.01.2022 Take the time to ponder on these a little......
03.01.2022 One part of you, one failure, one mistake, does not make you who you are, does not define the whole person.....you are so, so much more......
01.01.2022 Are you strengthening your children's social and emotional development these school holidays?
