14.01.2022 It's very normal when we are close to someone to have our perceptions shaped by them. In fact I would argue that this is a very human thing and is a big of part of how we form our sense of self. This can be great when we are close to people who are healthy for us (and us for them) but the reverse can also be true. This is especially the case we are close to someone who is perpetually damaging to us and they are skilled at causing us not to realise it. Although the word is of...t overused 'narcissistic' people and relationships do exits. And if we might find ourselves in one they can be very confusing and damaging to us. I found this little article helpful and to the point in relation to explaining what a narcissistic relationship is and what might be done about it.
