21.01.2022 ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR THE GOVERNMENTS $25K HOMEBUILDER GRANT? For anyone contemplating a renovation or building a new house, time is running out to take advantage of the governments $25k HomeBuilder grant. You have until 31 December 2020 to sign a contract with a builder. Work must commence within 3 months of the contract date. To be eligible you must comply with the following:... - project must be for yourself (can't be under a company or trust) - must be 18 years or older - must be an Australian citizen - must comply with the two following income caps: i) less than $125k pa for an individual applicant (2018-2019 taxable income) ii) less than $200k pa for couples (2018-2019 taxable income) - must comply with the following construction requirements: i) build a new house as a principal place of residence where the property value doesn't exceed $750k ii) renovate your principal place of residence/home with the renovation contract being between $150k and $750k, AND, the value of our property (house and land) not exceeding $1.5m pre renovation.
