24.01.2022 Banana coconut chutney 500g x 3 @ $3 each Now I have to confess I didn't make this one - my mother found an old recipe in one of her books & made it for me. I've not tasted it as she had it all bottled up by the time I got home, but she says it's nice. For cold meats or add to stews/croc pots. Pickled Capsicum - 600g x 4 @ $3.00 each. Great on pizza, in stir fry, add to stew or plate it up on a cheese and cracker board.

23.01.2022 My eldest graduated last night - what a night! Thankyou Ryan Catholic College for teaching and mentoring Caitlin over the last 5 years. She has loved being a part of the school and will be saying goodbye today with many special memories and friendships to carry with her as she starts on her next adventure. A special thankyou to all her teachers -she heads out into the world a smart, confident and kind-hearted young lady :)

22.01.2022 SOLD to Sandra Cowen - Strawberry Jam 475g x 1 @ $3.50. Strawberry & rhubarb jam. 1 x 400g @ $3.00 1 x 475g @ $3.50. Like strawberry jam but find it a bit sweet? Not with strawberry & rhubarb. All the strawberry taste with a milder sweet taste. My fav. at the moment and is divine as a topper on ice cream.

20.01.2022 Pickled beetroot made 20/08 so it's just about ready to eat. Cut in wedges and ready to eat, or can be left a few more weeks for a deeper flavour. Tastes very close to Golden circle .... well I think anyway! 2 x 700g @ $4.00 each 1 x 600g @ $3.00. 2 X 500g @ $2.50 each.

20.01.2022 BARBIES WANTED....... GOT ANY FORGOTTEN DOLLS??? Donna the barbie lady sure could use a hand. She remodels old barbie dolls, gives them a head-to-toe make over and donates them to the Townsville Children's Ward for Christmas. This amazing lady lives on a pension so you can imagine money is tight. 17.01.2022 Ryan spring fair this Friday night. I'll be donating some preserves from Country Miles Produce so come see the cake stall first - it's were all the best stuff will be :) Get there early as it sells very fast!

15.01.2022 Some new babies to introduce to you. 6 x Platinum Sussex chicks - from Jane at Jane's Chooks Townsville. I LOVE the light lavender colouring & the whole family have said their faces kind of look like baby penguin faces. Again - nothing will get done at our house for a few weeks as we'll all be nursing chicks :)

14.01.2022 Orange marmalade 650g x 3 @ $4 each. Now I confess to not being a marmalade fan, BUT I will happily eat this one as I have painstakingly removed ALL the white pith from the rind that gives marmalade that bitter after taste. It was a labour of love people but I did it for you (well for me too). So this is a citrusy marmalade with a happy ending :)

11.01.2022 Country Miles Produce has been my little project which allows me to share my love of preserves with friends and family. Thank you so much for supporting me throughout the year, for all your feedback and encouragement. I 'm now taking a break, holidaying with extended family and friends, but will be back in the New Year. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. Sue :)

08.01.2022 Last few days of holidays, big sigh. But had fun playing on the sewing machine - some longer lasting cupcakes heading off to a friend. II did bottle a few things too ..... I'll let you know when they're ready to go once the flavors have had time to develop. Enjoy your weekend.

01.01.2022 I made a lined bag for the first time tonight. I always thought it would be quite complicated but with a brilliant photo step-by-step tutorial I found from Whitney Newby (www.elmstreetlife.com) I had this done in less than 2 hours from leftovers in the craft cupboard.
