24.01.2022 EXPLORING THE HIGH COUNTRY! We had a ball exploring the High Country recently including the Bindaree Falls, Bluff Hut & track, Lovicks Hut & Mitchells Flat. We started off with some misty weather which turned into beautiful blue skies for the rest of the trip. Perfect location for some spectacular scenery and fabulous tracks with wonderful views. 03.01.2022 HIGH COUNTRY 4WD ADVENTURE! Fabulous recent long weekend away to the Victorian High Country with great company. We headed for Mt Sunday from Sheepyard Flat arriving to tackle Mt McKinty after a few breakages & repairs! There were lots of winching before arriving at the camp late that night at Mt Skene creek, Middle Ridge. We were up early next day and off to Licola for delicious ice-cream then on the road to the Pinnacles & Billy Goat Bluff through Crooked River to ...set up camp at Dargo. With the weather being hot, the river was a must to cool off! Next morning we were off to explore the upper and lower Dargo River area. There were lots of tracks and we found a great swimming hole where we settled for awhile to have lunch. We set up camp on Wonnangatta River which was another great swimming spot! As the forecast was for rain on Australia Day, we set off early to head for the Blue Rag Range and as you can see by the last few photos it was a complete turn-around in weather with fog! It all made for an epic trip and we’re already planning our next adventure!
