17.01.2022 On this weeks MattGyver we have:- How To Prevent Your Hop Bags From Floating. When you dry hop in a bag (or teabag) it likes to float to the top. The hops will still contribute flavor and aroma but for maximum effect it's best to have them completely submersed in the beer. So what can you do Well the trick is not to loose your marbles but instead use them to weigh down you hop sock or even hop teabag. This could also be done with our pre-packaged Hop Teabags. Carefully cu...t open the sealed end of the teabag, place inside a clean sanitised marble & with a hot iron simply press down on the open end of the teabag to seal it back up Lost your marbles like me long ago, perhaps some good quality Stainless Steel washers will also do the job

08.01.2022 This week's episode of MattGyver is a little late, but like LowNSlow BBQ well worth the wait So on this episode I thought it was time to share a BBQ hack. The Texas Crutch also known as the Texas Cheat. The Why & How to use this method while smoking, all the Pro's & Con's so you to can be hailed a Pitmaster.... So the main reason this method is used is to help keep meat moist during very long cooks, and also to speed up cooking time by pushing through the stall instead of waiting. 08.01.2022 They say lightning never strikes twice, but here we have another couple of good second kegs up for adoption. As you will notice these two are slightly shorter and a little wider as they are old Coca Cola kegs but still hold the typical 19ltrs. These kegs have had the works done. * Brand new lids replacing the old lids that did not have a pull ring pressure relief valve.... * They have been retro fitted from pinlock to ball lock with brand new posts and poppets. * And finally I have gone over these with a fine tooth comb, they have been thoroughly cleaned, sanitised & sealed with CO2 so they are ready to go home and have your next beer dropped straight in Instore pickup @ The Country Brewer Toormina

And what I can tell you is, that it is well worth the drive Nestled @ Townsend in the Clarence Valley which is just a stone's throw from Maclean this Brewery has a fantastic atmosphere with great beer & even greater food, live music, a large grass area to kick a footy with the kids, this brewery ticks alot of boxes if you ask me.
