While we don't expect recognition, the team here at Country Hope work extremely hard and are very appreciative of the nomination. Its nice to know that our work in the community is getting acknowledged.

19.01.2022 When they asked her to reveal her beauty secrets, Audrey Hepburn wrote this beautiful text that was later read at her funeral. To have attractive lips, speak... kind words. To have a loving look, look for the good side of people. To look skinny, share your food with the hungry. To have beautiful hair, let a child cross it with his own fingers once a day. To have a beautiful poise, walk knowing you're never alone, because those who love and loved you accompany you. People, even more than objects, need to be fixed, spoiled, awakened, wanted and saved: never give up on anyone. Remember, if you ever need a hand, you'll find them at the end of both your arms. When you become old, you will discover that you have two hands, one to help yourself, the second to help others. The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, in her face or in her way of fixing her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the door open to her heart, the source of her love. The beauty of a woman doesn't lie in her makeup, but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the tenderness that gives love, the passion that it expresses. The beauty of a woman grows over the years See more

17.01.2022 Slowly community engagements are starting up again in Wagga... Our FLO, Stina, had the pleasure of speaking to the Inner Wheel Wollundry ladies last night about Country Hope and the ways people can get involved and give our families a helping hand. These ladies are so welcoming, full of energy and you can really feel the good vibes and genuine positive regard they have for each other. 15.01.2022 The decision has been made to cancel the Country Hope Christmas Party in Wagga Wagga, Albury and Griffith for 2020. Fear not, Christmas itself has not been cancelled, and we're still talking to Santa's little helpers. A little secret: Santa says no matter what, he will make sure everyone gets a present. More info to come. ... #christmasparty #celebrate #families #country #children #health #merrychristmas #hope #joy #gift #santa #elves

14.01.2022 Pandemic adaptability. Stina was invited to speak to a range of Community Service Students at TAFE NSW Riverina Institute of TAFE Wagga Wagga Campus Albury Tafe this morning via video conference. After sharing a bit about the work of Country Hope, our incredible families, volunteers, committees and buddies and the VERY many challenges our families face; Our family liaison officer, Stina, walked the students through a workshop style discussion on real life scenarios for the Students to begin to consider, how they would support our families. 'The student questions and staff discussion was fantastic! We've got some great new potential workers coming out of TAFE for our Community. Well done to you all!'- Stina, Family Liaison Officer We're always excited to work with our beloved communities; anything to support our country families.

13.01.2022 Today is a reminder of what we should be doing every day. If you are concerned about someone, ask the question. If you are not feeling ok, take the weight off your shoulders by telling someone how you feel.

12.01.2022 Thank you Alan and to all the members of the Thurgoona and District Lions Club for having us to speak about our work. Last night, our Family Liaison Officer, Stina, spoke about the work we do, what our families face, and where our community can help make a difference. It is always a pleasure to meet with service groups in and around our communities. These are people who make themselves available to do what can be done to make our communities a better place for everyone. We'r...e grateful for your hospitality and for your service to our Albury community. We also wish you all the best for some very, exciting, new projects that are ahead.

The Family Party might not be happening this week across our three regions, but we're still coming up with creative ways to support our families.

03.01.2022 I Walk Down the Street I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in.... I am lost.I am hopeless. It isn’t my fault. It takes forever to find a way out. I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don’t see it. I fall in again. I can’t believe I am in the same place. But, it isn’t my fault. It takes a long time to get out. I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I see it is there. I still fall in.It’s a habit. My eyes are open. I know where I am. It is my fault. I get out immediately. I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk I walk around it. I walk down a different street.
