16.01.2022 Aussie Helpers founder Brian Egan and volunteer David stayed at the Countryman last night. Aussie Helpers helps farming families and has to rely on the generosity of public donations and sponsors to keep doing what they do. Accommodation and meals were provided by Golden Chain and the Biloela Countryman Motel. 14.01.2022 Extract from an email received "I had the pleasure of staying at the Countryman Hotel Biloela for 8 weeks during February and March 2016 while I was working a short contract. I was accommodated in one of the self contained units in a nice shaded leafy area just alongside the main hotel complex. The weather was, not surprising, very hot and by the end of a work day I really appreciated my comfortable clean (daily) air conditioned unit to come home to. Bob, the manager and his... family/staff were very friendly and would do anything to help and make me feel at home. The hotel complex had everything you’d need for a short or longer term stay including a small but well kept pool which was also nice to cool off in at the end of a hot Queensland day. Although the hotel is located on the Burnett highway heading out of Biloela the unit was located distant enough that traffic noise was rarely a problem. I can’t recommend it highly enough. It will be my first choice for accommodation in Biloela when I next visit". It is nice to know you efforts are appreciated. See more

13.01.2022 SUCICIDES HAPPENING WITH DAIRY FARMERS IN SOUTH WEST VICTORIA. Sadly over the past three weeks TWO Australian Dairy Farmers have taken their lives leaving their... families shattered and bewildered at this time which is supposed to be the season of joy and happiness. Why is this happening, very simply because the regulators, the governments both state and federal, despite having several Senate enquiries at great expense to the taxpayers, have achieved bugger all, just the usual talkfests. Why do we have such inept people in charge of this country we call Australia receiving huge amounts of monetary rewards to supposedly do the job of running the economy. What we have in government in fact are a mob of political egotistical halfwits and under achievers who should not be in any position to govern and we also have an Opposition that is intent on destroying any avenues of ever getting this countries credit back in the black and then we have a Senate. Never in the history of this nation have we seen such a mob of drongos masquerading as Senators. All of the above mentioned are plundering the public purse. Why are our Dairy farmers only receiving 25c per litre for their milk? Why haven’t the Dairy Processors been brought to heel? Why is it so damn hard for Dairy farmers to obtain the Farm Household Payment? Why have only less than fifty Dairy farmers been able to access the Federal Governments low interest loans? Once again WHERE OH WHERE ARE OUR REGULATORS the loss of these two people and others rests squarely on your political shoulders because of your inaction. Feel free to advert...ise any of your stalls or businesses in the comment section so people can see some of the fabulous stalls that we have at our markets. 07.01.2022 We recently received this fantastic review on TripAdvisor.... "Very pleasant welcome, always a good start. Room excellent, very clean and spacious.Nice new appliances. Bed comfortable and nice white towels. Wi Fi was free. Although on a main road it was very quiet and the shops were very convenient."
