24.01.2022 COVID-19 Directions have been updated in South Australia Updates have been made to the Cross Border Travel, Public Activities, Supervised Quarantine and the Res...idential Aged Care Directions. . PUBLIC ACTIVITIES DIRECTION NO 20 The Public Activities No 20 Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Friday 26 February 2021. The changes are only in relation to Dancing at relevant licenced premises and are as follow: People are now permitted to dance at nightclubs and licensed premises with the following restrictions: 199 people or less at the premises- patrons can dance providing the 1 person per 2 square metre rule is applied. Between 200 and 999 people at the premises- patrons can dance but there must be a single dedicated dancefloor or designated area with no more than 50 people in total in the designated area at any one time. The 1 person per 2 square metre rule applies. * Note that the premises can only have one dancefloor if they wish to have multiple, they will need to apply for a COVID Management Plan. To avoid doubt this does not include a private function at which there is a dance floor. 1000 people or more- the premises must have an approved COVID Management Plan. . CROSS BORDER TRAVEL NO 40 The Cross Border Travel No 40 Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Friday 26 February 2021. The changes are as follow: Travel into South Australia Travel from Greater Melbourne without the need for quarantine or testing is now permitted. People are permitted to travel from a Low Community Transmission Zone (ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, TAS, VIC and WA) without the need to quarantine or receive a COVID-19 test, providing they have not been in a place other than a low community transmission zone for 14 days prior to arrival People travelling from New Zealand are now deemed to be overseas arrivals requiring them to quarantine in a location as directed by an authorised officer for 14 days and receive a COVID-19 test on days 1, 5 & 12. Essential Travellers An Essential Traveller status is not required for people who have been in a Low Community Transmission Zone for the previous 14 days. . QUARANTINE AND TESTING OF CERTAIN FORMER VICTORIAN ARRIVALS NO 5 The Quarantine and Testing of Certain Former Victorian Arrivals No 5 Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Friday 26 February 2021. The changes are as follow: People who were in self-quarantine after being in Greater Melbourne (other than a High-Risk Site) are permitted to leave and must continue COVID-19 testing on day 1, 5 & 12. These people are permitted to attend a High-Risk Setting being a health care, disability, aged care or correctional facility but must notify the facility they have been in Greater Melbourne in the past 14 days and must wear Personal Protective Equipment. People who have been at a High-Risk Site as defined by the Victorian Government website https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks-co must remain in quarantine for the 14 day period and contact SA Health regarding continued quarantine and testing requirements. . RESIDENTIAL AGED CARE FACILITIES NO 32 The Residential Aged Care No 31 Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Friday 26 February 2021. The changes in relation to restrictions within Residential Aged Care Facilities are: People travelling from Victoria are now permitted to enter a Residential Aged Care Facility. People who are deemed a Former Victorian Arrival are not permitted to enter a Residential Aged Care Facility. A person who has entered SA and completed 14 days of quarantine is free to move around South Australia and also enter a Residential Aged Care Facility. From 1 June 2021, you must have been vaccinated against 2021 seasonal influenza before entering a Residential Aged Care Facility. . SUPERVISED QUARANTINE NO 5 The Supervised Quarantine No 5 Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Friday 26 February 2021. The changes are only in relation to requirements for people working at a designated red zone at the Adelaide Airport and are as follow: People who work at a medi-hotel site are unable to also be employed or undertake any work at a Residential Aged Care Facility, Correctional Service facility, Health Care facility or Aboriginal Community as defined by Schedule 1 of the Direction. A person who works at a medi-hotel site or designated Red Zone at the Adelaide Airport is required to submit to daily saliva testing except on the days when they undertake a nasal swab COVID-19 test. A person who works at a medi-hotel or designated Red Zone at the Adelaide Airport is required to submit to a nasal swab COVID-19 test at least once every 8 days, ending 14 days after the person last worked at the site. Other existing requirements remain. The information above only highlights the key changes made to the Directions and does not reflect all requirements. During the circuit breaker..., you are able to go out once a day for essential reasons, including getting your medications. Consider these options to reduce the need to go to the pharmacy. Contact your pharmacy to talk about what options are available and set up a plan that works best for you. Check out our advice for ways to: have your prescription sent to the pharmacy without you having to take it there. get your medicine without having to leave home. Remember don’t stock up on large quantities of medicines unnecessarily. It means others may not be able to get their essential medicines. However, be prepared by checking that you: have enough medicines (in most cases about a month’s supply) check your prescriptions and check your health care plans, make sure they are up to date and follow them. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about accessing your prescription medicines.

06.01.2022 Hunting for a Healthy headspace The headspace Berri Youth Reference Group (YRG) group have created a scavenger hunt for young people aged 12-25 to help young people to get back into the community and celebrate 2020 headspace day this October. Five Riverland towns will each host four scavenger hunt locations for local young people to discover. Each location will display an A3 poster to snap a selfie or thumbs up in front of and then upload to social media with #findingmyheads...pace and #headspaceberri (people who don’t have a social media account can email their snaps to [email protected]). The Scavenger Hunt runs from 10th October to 25th October. The YRG group have put together prize packs for each town and winners will be selected by random draw on Tuesday 27th October.
