25.01.2022 Today I won the Mossman Junior Golf Open. I beat a few of my mates from Cairns who have low handicaps of around 4 so it was good practice for Gary Player next week.

22.01.2022 Dad and I both saw Snow for the first time in our lives today, it was a pretty special day, we made the worlds smallest snowman, hired a sled, pegged snow balls at each other, we went snow tubing, tried to ice skate, we were hopeless but it was awesome
19.01.2022 COUPER WATCH | Mossman's teenage golfing sensation Couper Smith had another great tournament before Christmas, representing Queensland at the 2019 Austral...ian Schools Under 15 Golf Championships in Sydney. Couper, 13, who is sponsored by Marano's Fuel, shot 77 and 80 to be placed 12th at the national championships. He also got his first ever HOLE IN ONE! At the Greg Norman Junior Masters on the Gold Coast, Couper had rounds of 84, 80 and 79 in hot tough conditions and made the esteemed cut for the final round and shot 80 to finish in 8th spot. Couper sent us this lovely message over the holiday period: "Dear Marano family, well my 2019 golfing year is over, and I wanted to say thank you for your support and let you know that I am proud to be a part of the Marano family. I hope I did everyone proud and look forward to 2020!" We definitely can't wait to see what you have in store for 2020, Couper. Well don...e boys you hit it long and putted exceptionally well. Sunday Men's Pennants. A Grade lost 3.5 to 1.5. Good win Christo , great square Couper. 13.01.2022 On Thursday we got the ferry from the north island to the South Island, spent the night at Picton, the yesterday we travelled to Amberly Beach to spend time with friends of Mum, Bob and Deanne. We stopped and I played nine holes at a country course called Kaikoura. It was beautiful again, mountains with snow on one side and ocean on the other. Greens were fast and not very spinney, which was different to North Island but it was good to get out of car, stretch and hit a ball even if didn’t play very well, parred 5 out of 9 holes but bogies two and had shockers in other two
10.01.2022 Not the greatest day today, struck the ball very nice but I couldn’t buy a putt and my chipping was average. Shot 84, very disappointed as it should of been easily around 75 again, need to put in a good round tomorrow to make the cut for final day, not coming last though, besting quite a few of the older kids (sigh)

06.01.2022 Another amazing day, started off this morning playing 10 holes at Amberly Golf Club, Bob is a life member and walked us around - I played holes 1-8 and 17, and 18, 2 over off the stick which made me happy, then we had lunch - found out I love pumpkin soup, then we travelled to Lake Tekapo, DOUBLE WOW, 2 nights here
05.01.2022 Hi all members and friends. Ralf was driving home Saturday MGC to Oak Beach. Left the club at 6pm and went straight home. On the way home the door on his ute ca...nopy opened and his clubs fell out. He thinks it happened from the IGA roundabout thru to Oak Beach. Blue and white Mizuno Bag, Mizuno clubs and probably his range finder. Nobody has come forward yet. If anybody sees anything on for sale sites, or hears about somebody finding a set of golf clubs, or trying to sell clubs cheap, please contact Mossman police or Ralf.
