25.01.2022 Yesterday, our Pre-Primary students got to experience their very first School excursion, and they had an absolute ball!! They had an action-packed day at Kings Park Rio Tinto Naturescape filled with climbing, exploring, observing and discovering. They made mud pies, spotted lizards, tadpoles and birds, and got to cool off in the creek afterwards. The main theme of the day was Perth's first people. Students learnt how the Noongar people use plants and animals for food, medic...ine tools and shelter. They also explored Noongar language and engaged in traditional activities. It was a fantastic excursion enjoyed by all

24.01.2022 Our annual AFL/W Academy Awards and Sports Awards Night were held yesterday, recognising the outstanding achievements of our students in these areas. The new inductees to the AFL/W Academy were also recognised by being presented with their first Academy polo shirt in front of their peers. This year, the awards night had a very special guest speaker, Fremantle Dockers coach Justin Longmuir. Not swayed by Ms Rodrigues' loyalty to her favourite team, the West Coast Eagles, Jus...tin gave words of wisdom and encouragement to all of our students and happily answered some questions from the audience before getting into the presentations. 18.01.2022 What better way to finish off the school week than with a Pre-Primary assembly?! Both classes did an amazing job in their maiden assembly, incorporating their Indigenous Learning in their performances. PPM performed their interpretation of the dreamtime story, Tiddalik the Frog, to absolute perfection. PPV performed the lullaby Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and performed it in the languages of music, Auslan and the Noongar language, with a song called Djinda Djinda. ... It was a display of deep learning and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. See all the photos on our website news article: https://www.cgs.wa.edu.au/view/articles/20201127131221

18.01.2022 Today marked the end of an era for our Year 6 students with their Primary School graduation! Students were celebrated at their graduation assembly, where they were presented with some keepsakes from their time in Primary School as they prepare to take the big step into Secondary School next year. ... After this, students got to enjoy a day full of activities such as "Minute to win it" games and an "Amazing Race" style adventure with cryptic clues hidden all around the School. It was a very fun day celebrating with the students, and we wish them all the best for the adventures that lie ahead in Year 7.

17.01.2022 WOW!! Our Spring Arts Festival was FANTASTIC!! Students and staff had the best day and the weather was perfect for all of the water activities we had! We had face painting, musical performances, duck fishing, lucky socks, balloon pop, water slides, pony rides, footy target comp, dunk tank, and soooo much more! ... The food was great today with everyone enjoying a sausage sizzle, burgers and chips, iced coffee, Boost Juice and ice cream. But the biggest food attraction today would have to be the fairy floss machine which had a never ending line of students! Well done to all of the staff for organising such a wonderful day, and a huge well done to the students on their excellent behaviour and for participating in the running of their stalls. Congratulations to our winners of the jelly bean competition and the recipients of the RESPECT bears.

16.01.2022 Wow, look at the amazing creations coming out of our cooking classes!! Our Senior Leadership Team were treated to a very special lunch today courtesy of Year 11 students Eloise Pisa and Tegan Anderson. These students are studying Certificate II in Hospitality and for their current assessment, had to create an antipasto board and tapas. The same 2 students were responsible for catering for our Board meeting held last week. Talk about pressure! But they delivered an amazing sp...read and have set the bar extremely high for future events! We also have our Year 9 Food Science students creating gingerbread houses. They were given free rein to design something with a roof and sides, and came up with these amazing final creations! We look forward to seeing what else comes out of our food classes before the end of the year

15.01.2022 Sneak peak # 2 ... some videos to show our excited students.

14.01.2022 This year, CGS is proud to once again support our chosen charity of Anglicare in their Christmas Appeal. Struggling families often find it hard to get their children to school, so we are working with Anglicare to provide backpacks full of brand new school supplies to help get children in need back to school in 2021. In the Court Grammar School spirit of community, students and families are asked to assist in our appeal and donate much needed school items to those less fortuna...te. Donations can be given to PCA's and completed backpacks are being placed under our Christmas tree in the Administration Office. We hope to see a backpack from each PCG so we can help as many children as possible in their education journey.

13.01.2022 Another great day at Bickley with the Year 6s. They are all tucked up in bed after a full day of activities including flying fox, crate climb, vertical challenge and canoeing. We had some wildlife that visited the dorms to say goodnight!

02.01.2022 Our Year 9's went on a City Navigation excursion today, an "Amazing Race" style competition where teams compete against each other for points. Each team was given a list of places they needed to find around the city and at each destination, had questions to answer and challenges to complete. The challenges helped to promote students teamwork, navigation skills and resilience, all while earning points for their Year of Challenge competition. ... And you never know who you might bump into as you travel around the city. One group managed to come across our Lord Mayor, Basil Zempilas, and were lucky enough to score a photo opportunity with him! There's got to be bonus points for that, right?!

02.01.2022 Today marked Court Grammar School's inaugural Great Billy Cart Race! Our Year 9 students have worked hard for the past few weeks designing and creating their billy carts for the big day. The race was set for lunch time on "the street" and drew a huge crowd from students all across the School. There were 6 teams competing for the coveted winners trophy and after charging ahead once out the front gates, the winning team was made up of 3 Whitby students! Well done to Callum, T...ighe & Chad for taking out the race! See the amazing photos from today's race on our website news article: https://www.cgs.wa.edu.au/view/articles/20201120150152
