25.01.2022 Unfortunately this event has been postponed in line with Daniel Andrews announcement of the Victorian lock-down as of 11.59 on Friday 12th February 2021. We are currently working with SteamRail to offer something similar when they reschedule, so stay tuned! Heritage Train Tour for Warrnambool district residents Steamrail Victoria invites you to ride on their heritage red-rattler train between Camperdown and Warrnambool on Saturday afternoon February 13. Steamrail last travell...ed to Warrnambool in 2019 with steam engine R711. This time, iconic streamlined diesel locomotives S313 and A66, dating back to the 1950's, will do the hauling as steam locomotives cannot be used during the fire season. Experience 'old-school' air-con with the windows open in heritage wooden carriages that date back to 1906. Passengers from Warrnambool can meet the ‘Otway Explorer’ train in Camperdown either by catching the 11:47 V/Line service from Warrnambool, or with a return drive, allowing you to spend a few hours in Camperdown. Courthouse Camperdown are also offering tours from midday through Camperdown’s beautiful Clocktower and Volcanic Lakes and Plains. Details and ticketing are available through https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing?eid=700909&. See our separate posting for booking tours in Camperdown. Other Steamrail Vic tours and photos are available via their website: https://www.steamrail.com.au/

23.01.2022 Our committee have decided that to reduce risks to volunteers and visitors, the Courthouse will remain closed at least until the end of May. We will monitor the situation and keep you updated as things evolve. In the meantime, we are busy brainstorming and planning for the future of the Courthouse once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. #stayhome #staysafe #stayconnected #courthousecamperdown

21.01.2022 While restrictions on everyday activities are changing, we anticipate that the Courthouse will remain closed until at least the end of June. The message from the authorities to stay safe has been constant, and the safety of our volunteers is paramount we do not want to put any volunteers (or visitors) in a position where their health may be compromised. Over the coming weeks, we will be contacting our volunteers to discuss the implications of COVID-19 on the ambassador role, and establishing what resources and processes need to be in place to be able to open safely. We are also preparing a community survey which will help us understand how the Courthouse can best meet your needs. #staysafe #volunteers #communityspace #camperdownvic #lovewhereyoulive

20.01.2022 HAVE YOUR SAY! While COVID-19 has kept the doors to the Courthouse closed over recent months, we are keen to hear from YOU about how this space can be best used for the benefit of the local community (once re-opening becomes a safe prospect). We invite you to complete a short survey about Courthouse Camperdown. You can provide your feedback anonymously, or submit your details to go in the draw to win a fabulous prize. One lucky person will win a copy of Philomena Manifold'...s book 'Written in Stone', a celebration of the unique coastline of the Great Ocean Road and the deep time that has shaped it. The survey is open until Friday 21st August, and we encourage you to share this link with other community members who may be interested in contributing their thoughts. We look forward to hearing from you! Alison, Garth, Lauren, Lily, Laura & Ali Courthouse Camperdown Inc committee https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TYYWPHF
