13.01.2022 ~ MATERNITY LEAVE ~ Time to get my head around being on maternity leave as of today! I had to make the decision to cancel my last few clients and stop working two weeks earlier than planned to help protect myself and baby from the risk of coronavirus. I must admit its frustrating for me to not be able to finish on my own terms when Im feeling so good, but at almost 8 months pregnant its the right decision for our overall health... I was so determined not to cancel one cli...ent for the whole pregnancy and I look back with pride at the earlier months when I had horrendous morning sickness and managed to work through it without cancelling one person... even the very early morning clients that nearly killed me But sometimes you have to put pride aside and realise whats most important. I guess I will get even more used to that once our boy arrives too Bubs is due next month () and I look forward to introducing him on here to all of my wonderful clients My calendar is open and filling from the 1st of October and its looking like a particularly busy wedding season. So dont hesitate to book in for later in the year as I am sure Ill be itching to get back to painting faces Saturdays at least! For now; stay safe, wash your hands, dont feel ashamed if you need to go into self-quarantine, and call your grandparents for a chat, Im sure theyre bored at home unable to go out See more

11.01.2022 When my cousin comes over and has hair like this itd be rude not to have a play! Simple 5 minute knotted updo I didnt use any product so she doesnt have to wash her hair again for school, but if I was doing this on a client Id use some product to tame the fluffies and give it a polished finish this look is perfect on its own or with a big headband or could even be worn with a veil tucked in! Would you wear this look?

10.01.2022 Soft and pretty makeup for Charlottes graduation today hows the @bodyographyaustralia sheen on the eyes thanks to their incredible glitter pigments - I mixed three shades for this pretty tonal shine. I softly sculpted Charlottes fair features using the @eyeofhoruscosmetics Sacred Earth palette which is getting a massive workout in my kit at the moment!

10.01.2022 Todays bridal party: chasing those natural eye makeup goals using my all-time favourite eyeshadow shade Topaz by @adorncosmetics which is the perfect matte taupe shade for all eye colours. And if youre dark-skinned you would just go up a couple of shades to Quartz For the same effect. Also using the best lashes in the business by @havabeautyco for that perfect flutter and eye-opening effect.

I remember the first time Karen came in and brought her own lashes, I had a bit of a panic attack about applying them as I only use individual lashes and these strip lashes are so different to apply! 07.01.2022 Weekend vibes whos ready to relax #bithotforthispreggo My favourite thing to do at the moment with makeup is a monochromatic look using the same blush or bronzer on eyes and cheeks and matching the lip colour as well. I feel like when I say monochrome people instantly think black and white - and thats because it can mean that! But monochrome can also mean varying tones of only one colour. So a monochrome look can be pretty and pink (like this look), bronzed all over (u...sing the same bronzer on eyes cheeks and even lips), or even more bold! 07.01.2022 Faux freckles and orange jelly lips @__taylahsmith has no freckles whatsoever these are entirely fake! I used a pointy eyeliner brush, some setting spray, and a dark brown eyeshadow pigment the trick to making them look natural is to pat them in once placed using your finger, and then lightly buff over them with whatevers left in your concealer brush! They will soften down and look like theyre coming through the makeup rather than placed on top.

07.01.2022 A close up of that perfect @bodyographyaustralia glitter pigment shine these pigments go on with an almost wet-look effect which I am obsessed with and they come in the nicest possible colours! I have mixed three shades here for a multi tonal effect. The only thing is I wish I hadnt lost my nude eye pencil as I would have lined the waterline with it but thats just me being a perfectionist to the final detail! Ill have to go buy one today so I dont annoy myself with this minor detail again

06.01.2022 My glam bride GRACE Grace was unable to have a trial, which most brides do, because she lives interstate. So she was super trusting and we just sent some photos back and forth until she picked out looks for herself and her bridesmaids. Thanks to everyone who continues to recommend me, living interstate Grace relied on a Facebook wedding group to get suggestions for local suppliers.

06.01.2022 Can we do this again pls @keeleytroop Free-handing the glam with no constraints of time no back to back clients no specific requests and no specific look in mind is my one of my all-time FAVOURITE things to do. I certainly recommend all artists take extra time out to freestyle with their art ESPECIALLY if you are feeling down and out or getting compare-y on the gram.

01.01.2022 Commercial work I recently had the pleasure of doing makeup for two of @upstate_studios star instructors @k8mcgough (pictured) and @jessdenham_ for Upstates promotional photo shoot. Here Kate is looking bronzed and sculpted; we kept makeup light and natural but softly sculpted. And lets just say I am very jealous of the level of flexibility in this shot, given that Kate can not only reach her shoelaces, but her toes. Unlike myself

01.01.2022 Throwback to these portraits of me taken by @taniafernandesportraits !! Pre-tattoos and pre-pregnancy I feel like apart from my face I actually never look the same haha! Later next week I am having maternity photos with Tania and Im sooo excited! I wasnt actually going to book maternity photos but they were included in our newborn package, which we booked for when bubs arrives. Im so thrilled Tania includes the bump photos in her packages as I think a lot of women just t...hink about baby photos and not bump photos, but theyre just as special?!! I also love Tanias style and how she uses a lot of darker backgrounds and texture, it speaks to me more than the clean white style (which I love and appreciate too but a darker style is definitely more me!). Cant wait to share some photos from our shoot and I might film my makeup look for it! See more
