24.01.2022 If the boat is in the yard and can get a v. high resolution uncluttered side photo, with Photoshop can make a virtual half hull. Nepean C08

23.01.2022 Winter maintenance...

23.01.2022 Dugga is a generational Port Melbourne Couta boat fisherman and good photos in this post.

23.01.2022 Rhapsody was short handed and pushing hard to overtake another boat and in seconds sailed under... Looks like the jib halyard was nice and taut with the blocks "block to block"

22.01.2022 A Truckies Knots that is difficult to undo can be frustrating and risky in high winds so this video shows the best Truckie Knot option for Couta boat sailors. https://youtu.be/-3AJTSvM8lc

20.01.2022 28ft Couta Boat built by Robert Gordon Wooden boats have their charm and it is not going away any time soon. I love this part of sailing. #Classicyacht #woodenboats Canon Australia

20.01.2022 I suspect Dugga is just playing with Mick

20.01.2022 The Couta boat register book project is progressing and good photos and also written memories are being collected. Send your photo and memories to: [email protected]

19.01.2022 Two fit young men duck-dived into Rhapsody and passed up 1.8 Tons of her ballast and it was wonderful to see this big heavy Couta boat gently float to the surface.

19.01.2022 The 2020 Lacco Cup sailed at SSCBC and thanks to Jackie for photos.

18.01.2022 The SSCBC 2020 Gil Next Gen event was an inspiration to see young people sailing our beautiful Couta boats and enjoying the day sailing with good friends. Possibly due to world, national and Olympic champions among the crews it was interesting how the competitive spirit in this regatta was a bit more intense than in previous years! Good wins to the crews sailing with Sam Phillips on Bella C2016 , Tom Trotman on Zephyr C2006, Annabelle Williamson on Aliscia C33 and Michael Fel...s on Jessamine C1922 Special thanks to Emma Phillips and Caitlin Baxter for the photos and the producers of the video. Completely on a side note: this maybe an opportunity to promote the book about Australia's most successful Olympic coach Victor Kovalenko, and coach of some of these sailors, because it gives a fascinating insight into not only winning sailing competitions but also a winning approach to life in general. As a bonus, previous SSCBC Commodore Andrew Plympton is mentioned in the book.

14.01.2022 It would be nice to go for a sail.

13.01.2022 1st Race of the SSCBC Winter Series was in fair weather

12.01.2022 Zephyr C2006 ready to leave the yard for launching. This Huon pine boat typically never leaks a drop even after drying out in the yard for months.

12.01.2022 Not a bad idea to leave the boat on the mooring for a while with no ballast so she can roll around and get some water into the planking.

11.01.2022 Nice photo of Mystify shared by SSCBC

09.01.2022 "I wonder if those halyards are reeved through the blocks correctly" Phoenix C41 launch day.

08.01.2022 Great last 2 races in the SSCBC Championship season. Ben Fels and the race committee made good decisions and ran the races in fresh winds as can be seen from this photo of Matilda. Club Champ Winners Div. 2 Line: Morning Star C157 - Rhys Tucker Handicap: Lucy C31 - Michael Golding... Div. 1 Line: Jocelyn C2014 - Mal Hart Handicap: Zephyr C2006 - Max Chester See more
