19.01.2022 Christmas has been celebrated well here in Cow Bay and now it is going to be busy in the B&B ! New Years Eve is not that big for this host as I will have guests coming and going. Which is very excellent and hopefully a good sign for 2021!!! Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year!

18.01.2022 Still some bookings coming in amongst cancellations since Sydney became a hot spot. Most businesses are open and visitors love to visit. Physical distances is our normal--so book and stay!!!!

16.01.2022 As with every other accommodation and Bed& Breakfast Australia wide Cow Bay Homestay B&B is closed until travel restrictions are lifted and guests can start booking holidays again. Right now only local residents can access the Daintree River Ferry, which makes for empty roads and creates a bit of an eerie feeling, sort of before a big cyclone. Everyone is encouraged to isolate, easily done, we live isolated all the time! The hard job is not to meet up at restaurants, bars, be...ach, cricket club, drawing lessons or numerous other small gatherings happening here all the time, or have that cup of coffee at the favourite coffee shop. We do have local face group pages and the telephone still works! Once the weather settles a bit, I am sure people still go out fishing, one hardly ever sees another boat here anyway, plus all the reef boats are in the harbour now. The reef fish probably wonder, what happened to all these funny looking beings visiting their reef everyday....We won't be back to 'normal' from one day to another and frighten those reef fish !!! Cow Bay Homestay B&B is usually quiet during the wet season so now the ' Pause' is going to be longer and then there is no stopping us! I am looking forward to new guests and being busy with making beds and pouring fresh coffee in the mornings. Be healthy and happy. See more

16.01.2022 Now-- how did this happen? Already it is the 4th day in November. Anyone who needs a break before you get started on the Christmas month - choose your dates, use the online booking on our website and ..come for a visit.

16.01.2022 In the 2.week of the New Year and we have happy guests, coming and departing. Our weather is nice and sometimes wet, which is expected this time of the year. We had a big storm over the week end, which brought rainfall over 125mm and washed out the creek and refilled the waterholes with lovely fresh water. What can I say : perfect ! Book directly on our website or even better -- phone for a special deal!

15.01.2022 Well,....we did have some good rain this week, hooray! No need to panic, this is what we have in our wet season-- situation normal--- or as normal as it gets! So: wear your best Crocs, shorts and shirt and all is good. This tropical rain is not cold, more like really refreshing and fun! Oh-- we also supply our guests with umbrellas- the 'good' ones- Golf from Bunnings.....

12.01.2022 The middle of February already !!! Usually a bit of a quiet time in the Tropics. People who live here get to enjoy the adventures of tropical living in a good wet season by themselves. The social groups are busy, we all have time now! Creeks are running, and nature is busy blooming, breeding, and growing. Just had a couple of sunny dry days to catch up and some more rain to come, the forecast says. For anyone planning to come visiting please make sure to book a bit in advance- a hard thing to do these days..... Looking forward to new guests soon- always a pleasure to share this amazing part of our country.

09.01.2022 After a bit if a dry spell, we now have a nice breeze and some rain on and off, just enough to keep things cool and once again super green! This is our quite time up here in the Daintree and once you chosen your dates and made your online booking- just join us!

08.01.2022 December Dynamics: warm to humid, very calm meaning under water visibility is perfect, some storms, no hail !!!, quick and heavy down pours, to cool it all off. Best to find the shady spot with a forest or ocean breeze, check out the night sky and watch out for shooting stars, feet in the creek and..... just reeeeee-lax!
