25.01.2022 We are hiring! We are seeking a Qualified Butcher or 2nd/3rd year Butcher’s Apprentice with proven reliability and great customer service & sales skills. The ideal applicant will work well in a small team and also have the confidence and initiative to work autonomously. Culinary creativity is most welcome! Happy to negotiate Casual or permanent Part Time/Full time terms for the right applicant, but with the busy summer season upon us, there will be plenty of hours available ... position is available to start in early November. 25.01.2022 Retail sales assistant required for our small family run butcher shop on the main street in Cowaramup. The ideal applicant will work well in a small team and also have the confidence and initiative to work autonomously. Tasks include (but not limited to):... - Providing our clients with excellent customer service, up-selling, packing/wrapping fresh meat products - Using the point of sale system (Square), eftpos machine plus handling cash - Maintaining neatness of prepacked stock in the fridges/freezers, stock merchandising - General shop cleaning wiping down cabinets, glass, floor sweeping/mopping (as required) - During quiet counter sales periods assisting the butcher with washing of dishes, packing/labelling meat Prior food prep/retail sales experience would be an advantage but we are happy to train the right person. More important is having a mature, confident, honest and can-do attitude. Hours will vary but from now until at least the end of January we need someone 5-6 days, so would be happy to split the role between 2 capable people if needed.
