04.01.2022 We would like to say a huge thankyou to Colin Kilby and the team at Kilbys Heating & Cooling for the amazing job they did installing reverse cycle air-conditioning systems at the Band Hall. Kilbys provided the equipment at more than generous costs so the band can rehearse in comfort. Local business has always been very supportive of the us and we cannot survive without generosity like this.

04.01.2022 Dont forget folks!! We would love to see your photos from the service on our page. We encourage kids to wear their school uniforms and post pictures as well as anyone involved in a community group or sporting club to wear your colors and share pictures of you showing your respects. How good would it be to see pics of your whole street on their front yards with a candle. Please share and get the whole community involved. The Cowra Band has made steps to appropriately commemora...te ANZAC day whilst in ISOLATION. The ODE and the LAST POST/REVEILLE are the significant features of any ANZAC ceremony. Therefore, on ANZAC DAY (Saturday April 25th) Band Master and bugler Glenn McLeish along with Cowra RSL branch President Steve Overman will be conducting these 3 items over a live Facebook feed. Also, from a strategic position we will be broadcasting this event across Cowra. The LAST POST will be played at precisely 6:00am followed by the ODE and then REVEILLE. This ISOLATED commemorative service will be amplified, and it is thought/hoped that in the stillness of dawn will carry a haunting sound across the town. We are encouraging people to tune in to the Facebook feed which will be broadcast on the Cowra Guardian Facebook page as well as take a position on your front lawn and observe all the normal respects that we are used to on ANZAC Day. . Please talk to all your neighbours, friends and rellies and encourage them to take part. Please note Public gatherings are still not permitted under lockdown laws so PLEASE STAY AT HOME and observe social distancing protocol. This is an attempt to make the most of difficult situations while paying respects to those that paved the way to our lives as we know them. PLEASE do the right thing. See more
