Two special "Langy the Legend" races sponsored by PETER & SCOTT BROWN CARPET LAYING, Bathurst were held during the day which were very entertaining for all to witness dedicated to the legend himself. 22.01.2022 SPEEDWAY - SATURDAY 5 DECEMBER 2020 2020 NSW U16 125cc Speedway Solo Championship & NSW Senior 500cc Speedway Solo Championship Due to the current COVID-19 situation the Club has decided to run the NSW U16 125cc Speedway Title in conjunction with the NSW Snr Speedway Title on the 5th December. Hopefully restrictions will be further eased by this date to give all riders the to opportunity to compete.

11.01.2022 SENIOR & JUNIOR DIRT TRACK CLUB DAY SUNDAY 13 SEPTEMBER 2020 This will be a special day as a Legend of our Club, John "Langy" Langfield turns 80 this week. Sunday will feature a couple of special races to acknowledge this milestone. The following COVID-19 Restrictions will also apply:- EXCLUSION OF ANYONE FROM THE SYDNEY REGION marked on the map in grey SORRY NO EXCEPTIONS.... Please don’t attend if you are from or have attended any of the reported hotspot case locations listed on the NSW Health website (nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates) or have travelled to Victoria in the last 14 days. It is strongly suggested that attendees are limited to officials, volunteers, riders, mechanics and carers. For local activities that go ahead, limit spectators to one parent only, where the child requires parental supervision during the sporting activity Co-mingling of participants is to be minimised. All will be required to abide by the personal hygiene and social distance recommendations of health authorities of 1.5 metres. A record of the name and a mobile number or email address for all officials, volunteers, riders and all attendees are required which will be kept for a period of at least 28 days which will only be used for the purposes of tracing COVID-19 infections and stored confidentially and securely. 10.01.2022 2020-21 NSW SPEEDWAY SOLO CHAMPIONSHIPS - MNSW CONFIRMED RIDERS. The following was confirmed by the NSW Speedway Sports Committee:- Ten (10) riders have been seeded in the 500cc Championship, with the top six placings from the NSW U21's Championship held on Friday night 12 February 2021 that entered the Senior Championships making up the 16 rider field. The next two placings will be Reserve 1 and 2. The remainder of U21 riders will be in support races on Saturday 13 February 2021.

07.01.2022 Steph Cooke MP and Cowra Council Mayor, Cr Bill West officially opened the upgrades to Woodstock Park Speedway completed by Cowra Motorcycle Racing Club made possible through $329,534 from Round 2 of the Stronger Country Communities Fund, which was originally intended to provide speedway lighting and an all-weather projection pit area. With these works completed within the timeframe and under budget, approval was given to also install a men’s toilet block, portable office/med...ical room and speedway tower, which are now complete. Ms Cooke said the Cowra Motorcycle Racing Club should be very proud of what they have achieved. The work that has happened at the Speedway is incredible, this grant has been utilised to its fullest extent to create a huge amount of infrastructure that is going to improve the experience of riders, spectators, staff and visitors, Ms Cooke said. It’s clear the Club community and their supporters have proved they can get bang for buck from grants, this is an impressive effort from everyone involved. I know the work here will mean more events coming to this fantastic facility that will be a boost to the whole region.
