23.01.2022 #AUSPOL PM Morrison There have been many photos I have seen of our PM. Just look at him sometimes. There has been criticism since the fires. He has been lamb...asted by the left and his family attacked. His holiday in Hawaii which was a promise to his two young girls, was planned and he had no way of knowing just how badly this would end with two volunteer fire fighters paying the ultimate price and the media called for the PM's political head. No sooner had he got back he was shown trying to shake hands with a man who rejected him and this was plastered all over the media as a further sign he was not the man for the job. In addition, his predecessor, Malcolm Turnbull along with his son, Alex, attacked him relentlessly. It is pretty tough at the top. In recent times this man has given his all. He has hardly had time to mourn the passing of his father - which gained scarcely any coverage in the media. He has attended meeting after meeting often totally overwhelmed by lack of sleep. Scott Morrison is a PM who has had to deal with something no other has outside of war time. There is no white paper. No guidelines. He knew very little about coronavirus. But, with a team of experts and a well formed national cabinet, I feel proudly Australian by the way he is leading us through this mess. He knows that lots of what he has had to do sits outside of anything done before. There are critics galore - but they have no plan, just ongoing criticism. His aim is to keep us safe. He is exhausted but he leads well and this is acknowledged by Labor Premiers too! The PM would be worried. He is not a doctor. He is no more than a man who wants to serve. He is a husband, a son, a father. He is worried about us, and our health and our mental health but scarcely has time for his own. He has to take the best advice he can and we have to get behind him and trust that we will cross the bridge to the other side. Things will not be easy and maybe never the same again. When there is so much criticism from so many who have no medical knowledge and nothing but big mouths and wild ideas, just remember, there is no one in the parliament who wants us not to come out of this well. Next time someone says he is useless, perhaps outline a plan of support and send it in without abuse. Our leaders need support in crisis. Armchair experts and keyboard warriors will get us nowhere. We thank our leaders and our PM. Stay the distance.
