08.01.2022 Important News Changes to the event The plan was to have two Fireworks Displays, one at 9:30pm and Midnight.... The plans were all in place and people have been pre-purchasing tickets. However, now due to circumstances out of our control, we have had to cancel the Midnight display. There will now only 9:30pm display. All other arrangements have not changed; your tickets are still valid, and you still need to pre-purchase tickets for the event. In the 3 years that the Beach Party has been going it has been very well received by the majority of the Community and the Businesses of Cowra and we hope that the changed format for this year is a huge success and that next year will be even bigger. 07.01.2022 Cowra Community New Year’s Eve Beach Party, breaking news The Committee of the Cowra Community NYE Beach Party have been working behind the scene to do whatever we could to hold our popular event again this year, however given the ongoing situation with COVID-19 we will not be able to have the same great spectacular that we have in the past two years. Because of this, we have come up with a very exciting option for this year.... We are planning a drive in fireworks display still at the showground; as usual the fireworks will be in the centre of the race track. Anyone that comes along will be lined up along the race track fence and other vantage spots in the showground. There will be two displays the first at 9:30pm and a second at midnight. In both displays we will be following all current COVID-19 safety requirements by having a separate space for each vehicle. There will be a charge of $10 per vehicle. Tickets per vehicle will need to be purchased from the following participating locations, Cowra Showground Pavilion Office, between 2pm & 5pm Monday-Friday, Central West Uniforms, Shop 5, Central Arcade (Piccadilly Arcade) Kendal St Cowra, between 10am & 5pm. Where you must register your details, how many people and your vehicle details and if you will be going to either one or both displays, this is a part of our COVID-19 safe plan and entry will only be allowed to vehicles that can produce a registered ticket. An occupant of the vehicle will also be required to scan our QR Code and complete the registration for either or both displays. This exciting event will be great for the people of Cowra Shire; it allows the opportunity for us all to see out what has been a disrupting and difficult year. For those living nearby that have animals that could be affected by the noise of the fireworks, now would be a good time to plan for this event. For more information and to ask any questions about this exciting event go to our Facebook page, cowranye. It will be great to see as many of you on the night so we can give 2020 a big goodbye.

07.01.2022 The Committee would like to extend our thanks to Marie and Cowra Machinery Centre for their support, towards this year’s drive in firework’s event.

03.01.2022 Well, Cowra! What a great event we had on New Year's Eve! We had in excess of 600 people pass through the gates at the Community Beach Party! Even when the fireworks had to be cancelled, a lot of people still came along to enjoy the fun! Free entertainment, rides, slides and getting down and dirty in the mudpit proved a great hit! This was our second only event, and we thank all of those in the Cowra Community who took part, and assisted and provided help in any way. Those vi...siting Cowra, included! This whole event could not have happened, without the dedication of the members of the Committee who gave their all, in time and effort to make this event a great success again. We want this year’s event to be even better! The Committee wants to make this annual event a benchmark and the 'must go to' event for families and visitors to Cowra and the Central West on New Year’s Eve. This can only happen with the assistance of generous sponsors and volunteers. As I mentioned none of this would be possible without the assistance of the Community and the Beach Party Committee! If you would like to be involved, and join this great group, we will be holding our AGM on Monday 16th March at the Bowling Club BBQ area starting at 6pm. If you'd like to be a part of the team, and provide your input, ideas, and support, you are invited, and very welcome to attend! Just send us a message with your name and best contact details, for further information! Hope to see you there, to help get the planning of the 2020 NYE Beach Party started!!
