21.01.2022 Looking to brighten up your day? A bouquet of daffodils will do the trick! Daffodil Day is TOMORROW, Friday 23 August and with your donations and fundraising support, it will offer hope as we search for the next breakthrough in cancer treatment and detection. The cheerful little flower shows your support for people you know (and those you don’t) who have been affected by cancer.... Daffodil Day is now 33 years old and has become an iconic community effort to raise funds for Cancer Council which funds vital research to save lives. This year, with your support, we hope to raise more than $4 million. There will be more than 3,000 volunteers selling flowers and pins across NSW. But if you can’t spot a flower seller you can always show your support by visiting www.daffodilday.com.au and donating online.

18.01.2022 Most of us can stay at home, people with cancer can’t. As the COVID-19 outbreak continues and many of our fundraising events are cancelled, we are struggling to meet the demand for our rural and remote Transport to Treatment service. People with cancer have never been more isolated.... But they are not alone. They urgently need to be able to get to care. It’s why we’re turning to you. With your help, we can continue to provide services needed to make sure people like Sarah don't miss out on treatment. As the COVID-19 outbreak continues, we are finding it harder to provide the services needed to support our loved ones with cancer. If it continues much longer, people like Sarah could miss out on treatment.

18.01.2022 What’s special about today? It has something to do with a gentle daffodil, with the gift of hope, with an act in memory of a beloved family member or friend. It’s Daffodil Day and this is the 33rd year our volunteers have manned stalls, sold fresh flowers, pins and pens and listened as the community shares the story of someone they know with cancer or someone they remember. The donations you make at Daffodil Day stalls, or online at www.daffodilday.com.au will fund lifesaving... research that could see the next breakthrough in cancer treatment or detection as we work towards a cancer free future. We rely on your generosity to help in our major research fundraising effort of the year which we hope will raise more than $4 million dollars. Visit Sylvia at your local site in Cowra Plaza. Last year Cancer Council NSW contributed almost $19 million to around 300 researchers working in more than 70 projects and 18 institutions. That’s a lot of effort on their part funded by a lot of generosity on your part. Please, once again, dig into your pockets, visit a local stall or donate online this #DaffodilDay.
