15.01.2022 One of David goggins recent post really resonated with me. You get injured, you don’t stop until you literally can not go anymore. You suck up the pain and keep on moving. I hear you’re crazy all the time and I’ve never really known how to respond besides say yeah Maybe I am hahah But goggins summed this up perfectly and I know what to say everytime now! ... Im not crazy, I’m just not you Just like goggins and a few other people around the world I need to do these ‘crazy’ things to feel satisfied with the work I’ve put in. 15.01.2022 LEVI STREET 10hr ULTRA DONE!!!! 1.2km continuous out and back hill repeats 70km in the bag... Last ultra marathon before #WorldsStrongestMarathon training begins in 2 weeks! Thank you so much to everyone that came out and supported us during this run! We had about 17 people come out from our @bluemountainsmarathonclinic community over the 10hours and that to me is what community is all about. This community, our mountains running community hold a beautiful bond. BIG BIG shout out to @ben_danga who was only coming for a couple laps, but with a bit of convincing with the words ‘we’re almost half way’ (we were only 3hrs into the run). This is the longest Ben had ever ran and his effort to dig deep and get it done was bloody awesome. Mate you dug deep and got the job done! That’s all that matters. REMEMBER! TRUST THE PROCESS! We do this.... Every Saturday 52 weeks a year It’s about moving to feel one foot after the other boss We are an all inclusive Face to face community that connect through positivity and wanting to become better. 07.01.2022 YES #caaw21 is over. But.. It’s not the end of being aware of child abuse. We cannot let a celebration of good awareness of this important issue go unnoticed fo...r the rest of the year. By the time we finish writing this post there would have been many more children abused and it has to stop. Cause that means before I finish this post: Children will have their innocence impacted Children will now carry a scar with them Children are more likely to develop mental health concerns Children’s trust is eroded Before we finish writing this post more children will be abused. We know it’s not what you wanted to wake up to today but it’s reality. ChildSafe is working towards trying to change this through helping organisations to put in prevention measures to protect children from abuse and harm. We are also working with parents and educators of children to understand what they need to do to understand abuse, the signs and to act if they suspect anything. Prevention of abuse takes planning and development of information informed by children. This is what ChildSafe values. 07.01.2022 #WorldsStrongestMarathon Training 24hrs on and I just want to say a big thank you to every single person that came down and cheered me on yesterday for my longest ever training run. I almost cried speaking to you all before I began. For those of you that saw, I was feeling so bloody awesome and was on track averaging 15min/km. I was very unwell at around the 9-10km mark I threw up from there my body was feeling weak, physically I was drained and very dehydrated. ... At 13.5km I pushed very hard up the hill to the point were when I stood up I felt like my head was going to explode and both nostrils were pouring out in blood. The headache was unbearable, my body was depleting by the minutes. Time to review everything. More testing, more fiddling around with ideas and more learning. I said it when we first embarked on this journey that this is just one big lesson, we are continually learning, changing & developing every week. We have one more car pull session before March 3rd!!
